If the people fucking arent into it, then to me its boring. There is some stuff on cinemax shot well,composed well but watching paint dry would be hotter. I think for still photography all that stuff can make something very hot but for video if there isnt animal hotness. I dont care if orson wells directed it and Andrzej Sekula shot it and Thelma Schoonmaker edited it and it was shot on imax. Technically it can look great but if the fucking aint hot, its a waste of footage.

I think this is the one time I disagree with you.

Being that you are a perfectionist with your product, and that is a good thing, you need those elements to be there in order for it to be of interest to you. You are going to look for the right lighting, the right framing and listen for the audio. Nothing wrong with that at all, as that is what you like. And that is all that matters to you.

However, I do believe you are in a very small group. Though the group is large enough to keep many high quality sites and DVD companies in business. Though they are not the majority of porn consumers.

I do feel the large majority of porn consumers are simple meat eaters who get off on hot girls or real sex, no matter the format or production quality. Look at how popular the tube and amateur sites have become. It's insane. The content sucks in terms of production quality but there is something magical about a real couple fucking who are into each other, no silly scripts, nobody else in the room, no BS... just a dude and his chick, fucking. It doesn't matter if it's shot on a cell phone or in HD, real sex is real sex. Add to that a hot girl, then it really doesn't matter how it's shot.

I know this. If I have the choice between a super clean video that looks better or a low light crappy smaller vid Ill pic the clean crisp video everytime. Im a member on videobox and I skip over the movies that are not up to quality and pick one that is.

There's a lot of great shooters and companies out there filming high def video to varying degrees of effectiveness. A lot of elements come together to make a good looking video starting with the lighting (the most important element) to the makeup to the attractiveness of the models themselves and location down to the encoding in post-production. I have gotten good feedback on my 1280 x 720 vids like the sample on my site below. (see sig)

The action is very important...hot girls and action....

if people shoot on their own cameras and upload it ...what our the film makers needed for if they can't supply hot action shot well....

HD is just one factor in the quality of a video... At the moment it is impossible to supply full HD on the internet, but the better a video is shot the better the end result.. but there are many other factors... focus, exposure, lighting (not just switching a light on ! ) lens, f stop, colour tempreture, subject matter, subject contrast, lighting contrast, microphone and placement and then encoding etc..

Our last few films have been shot on HD and we can see a big improvement on DVD but on the internet it is only one factor in the perception of quality... Good lighting and exposure are the biggest factor effecting viewer quality...

If you take a normal members area with high quality movies, lets say 640x480 and you introduce real HD movies, 99% of your members won't download even one scene.

Not saying programs/sites dedicated to HD don't do well - I just don't think your average porn buyers gives a shit if the movie is HD, just give them good quality that doesn't take hours to download.

HD sites do not retain better, they for sure do not convert better because they are HD - so what the hell is the point of creating something that costs you more bw to up, members to download, and massive HD space.

Ask your members what sizes/bit rates they like/want and you will be shocked at the answers they give.

On our site members download the higher bit rates in racio 3:1 of the low bit rates...

Why shoot HD, because you will be able to exploit it longer.... as the bandwith goes up you can keep re encoding it until you send it out as full HD ...in say 20 years....

Of course members download a higher bitrates over lower. The question is, do they download the HD bit rate over the standard high quality movie, if you offer both.

A few things, If I'm still releasing the same sets in 20 years, in porn in 20 years, let alone shooting porn in 20 years, just shoot me dead. Cell phone porn is lame today and it will be lamer in 20 years. And any movie made today, in HD or not, will be useless in 20 years.

I can't speak for every country, but in America the Teloc's are pushing for tiered services through he net neutrality act. They seem to think we can run out of bandwidth - being so they are trying to what several other countries already do, charge you for every bit of your net use.

This is the direction the net is going in, not more bw for kick ass HD movies.

yes they prefer the higher quality in the racio of three to one (maybe they don't have a good connection and have to be content with the lower quality.

I cannot help you in your request to be shot... but the higher the value of the product you make will make it more sellable when and if you leave the industry....
