disclaimer - I'm an independent who will support Clinton if she is the nominee. Why are Trump and Sanders not running as Independents and instead trying to hijack the Republican and Democrat parties?

They could split the vote and take it to the electoral college like the framers had intended in a multi-party electorate.

The reason is that they need, or think they need, the money and organization of the Republican and Democrat parties -- so we are fucked -- same shit new day ...

That is impossible. Obama has been President for 7 years and he fixed all of that. There are no uneducated people in the U.S. anymore. And no racism. And everyone has great healthcare and are making lots of money in the great economy.

Sanders need it, Trump doesn't

Sanders = career politician with radical communist ties promising to hand out free goodies to everybody

Trump = independent and one of the most successful businessmen of our time
