With the amount of world records being broken I seriously am beginning to wonder if that pool is 50m or if they made it shorter by half meter or so in order to add some excitement to the games.

Not to take anything away from Phelps, he is crazy fast and recovers way faster than he should be able to. I suppose this is what happens when you have been competing at such a high level for over a decade and are extremely dedicated.

Hey Moe did you see the sequence about him where they said that his body proportions are almost perfect for someone trying to create the perfect swimmer?

6' 4" with a longer torso compared to someone that is 6' 8" and short strong legs of someone that is 6' tall. This combined with a wing span of 6' 7" and a shoe size of 14.5 makes Phelps the "Perfect Swimmer"

Crazy times for sure in the swimming but based on what I've seen from him he should have no problem with the last 2 Gold Medals.

Swimming and gymnastics have been pretty good but I'm really looking forward to the Track & Field competition. Especially the Women's

Makes you wonder, the Chinese don't like the number 4 because it means DEATH or something. I use to live in a building without any 4's in it. Level 1,2,3,5,6 etc.

I'm wondering who ever make the pool did the same thing, metre 1,2,3,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,15,16 etc. So the pool would be 4 meters short.

He's on another level that's all. I saw one race he was losing on the last leg, and out of nowhere he got like an extra boost and won. crazy.

My guess is doped up. Drugs that are impossible to detect currently. Same thing happened with marion jones. She rip'd everyone apart. It's all about money. US news channels payed a hefty price to have the swimming held so that it airs in US live in prime time. Someone's gota pay for that, and phelps is making it happen. 4 years later when they find out about dope, they already cashed in on it.

I really hope he isn't on drugs, I don't think it takes drugs to do what he is doing. He is built for it, he is that sport in every way. Much like Woods is for Golf. The real masters don't need drugs, they were born to do what they are doing.

And over the last 20, 10, and 5 years our understanding of human health is went through the roof. What to eat, drink, exactly how much, when to change and what order to eat the food in, down to what types of exercises to do based on the food/sleep they had, and so much more. And these guys are on the cutting edge of this information and testing.

It's just sad that some people do dope up all to win some stupid games, just taking that chance of being caught, and what would do to you, really tells you the people doing this only care about one person.

What he is doing is simply amazing....I hope it isn't another Marion Jones though. From the interviews I have seen of him he seems pretty straight laced and trains intensly.

Have you compared them to the people that made these records 20-30 years ago? They are all bigger, stronger, know so much more now. They spend millions on shit like what helmet you should wear when racing on a bicycle or even how the body suit moves through the water better then human skin. When you take dozens of little things and add them all up it is bound to make a difference. We are talking 1 second a lot of the time also. Yeah that is huge in a way but if you can do something to improve .005 seconds they will do it. Saying the guy is cheating is like seeing a black guy in a 200,000 dollar car and saying he must be selling drugs. Sure it is possible but give them the benefit of the doubt. Look what happens when they get caught anyway. They get treated like the scum of the earth and him of all people would be on top of that group if he did.
