Hey man, I did not know that, I tried reaching out to the developers for questions and I got really shifty responses asking to log in to my account., I'm more than happy to pay for it. Downloaded it assuming it was free (which apparently it was).

Also, Namecheap hosting doesn't allow adult

your account will be closed, once they find out.

If you want to host the videos yourself, you will need to upgrade to at least decent VPS with enough BW and storage.

So your using stolen software and you got a "really shifty responses" when you went to the developer asking for help

If you were "more than happy to pay for it", why didn't you to begin with ????

This is like stealing a car at your local dealership, then taking it back to them and asking them to repair it when it breaks down

No that would be considered a derivative work and would still be owned by the original coder.

Best to delete it all and start over

Buy yourself a legit copy and talk to the dev and explain that you don't wanna lose your work pretty sure they can help out with little xtra cash. Hosting over Embed any day for me at least but that require more cash for sure. You could start with embed and save some money to invest. Good luck

Thanks for all the replies and posts, I do appreciate the helpful info. Since you guys are the experts, had I known it was a stolen theme would I have asked for help on here to figure out the issue? That being said, I will reach out to the developer.

And I did reach out prior, I have zero reason on here to not tell the truth.

If namecheap doesn't allow adult, they sure don't check they're stuff very often and it won't be hard to transfer to another host if that is the case. And I bought the domain through namecheap. So they will allow an adult site as a registrar but not a host? Sounds hypocritical. I have everything backed up anyway so it doesn't matter. Their hosting is mediocre anyway.

And if hardcore hosting is correct. then everything on the internet is derivative work.

But I will reach out to him, you gents just wait and see, since how I look in front of you is so important to me to tell some BS story...

But why hosting over embed, assuming I moved up to VPS or Dedicated. Just for the speed? Is there another reason I'm missing? you're still using the same videos right?

If you host the videos yourself then you need to store them and serve them up. That requires diskspace and server speed/bandwidth.

Embedding them you are using the storage and bandwidth of the site that you embedded from.

As far as the MacDonalds remark, that means don't quit your day job.

You are not starting off on the right foot here.

Of course hosted is better than embedded. It will cost way more than using embedded videos on a shared hosting.

Always host videos. Embedding does not get you far these days. Unless you have other sources of traffic and you will not use google/bing.

One thing I hope you are "up and up" on is fucking honoring DMCA notices. I'm fucking tired of content pirates and guys like you coming in to just do nothing but take a cut out of other peoples work.
