I'm an only child (and an only grandchild) too, and it does sort of make you independent. I never mind living alone or being by myself and I think it's because it was always like that when I was growing up. Lots of advantages when you're younger, but it makes me sad now though, cause I'd really like to have a sister/brother or nieces and nephews.
