    has there ever been a REALISTIC fighting game?

    a few days ago i was talking to my bro, and i mentioned the new MK coming out is against childish comic characters like superman (i hate super heroes but he's the worst ever) - with a fucking 'teen' rating! Now MK isn't realistic too but at least it had blood and nice fatalities like the spine rip etc. (childish unrealistic fatalities excluded like dragon morph shit etc)... end conclusion was that there has never been a 100% realistic hardcore fighting game, like the fighting scenes in FIGHT CLUB: Bare knuckles and blood, no fireballs or other weird shit, just real world bare knuckle bloody street fighting, with that gritty feel you get from watching the fight club scenes in that basement. This is an extremely good idea for a fighting game in my opinion. Or have i missed something like this? (i doubt it, because if there would be such a game it would be a huge hit for sure)

    enlighten me oh fighting game experts!

      there is a semi-realistic ufc game out... it and fight night(boxing) are pretty cool...

          It would be a huge hit? No it wouldn't.
          You'd like it, as would some die hard "fighting" fans, but in a video game... it would be boring as hell.

          There've been games... some new ones that look promising even (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycGKg03Cgv4) but the sad reality is, you can't think of any because they simply didn't do well enough to even be noticed.

          As sad as it is, only die-hards want true reality... the rest of the people want to be entertained, and that involves fantasy, special effects and most of all.... the impossible.

              hm i dont mean the fighting sports games, but that video looks very nice... but what i mean was a fight club atmosphere not a sports game, and a little over the top like excessive blood and realistic fatality moves is all for the better, remember i am aiming for that fight club thing and that is a movie... but realistic enough!

                      apparently the new tekken is more realistic, but i cant think of one in the way you are talking about

                      i would definitely play it though

                          not really fight club style,
                          but bushido blade for ps one was
                          pretty damn realistic.
                          no fireballs and shit, just two guys
                          and two swords. one solid hit will
                          kill you, just like a real sword.

                              There is no realistic game made yet. Some are close, but still not there. Not that it couldn't be done, but I guess nobody wants it.
