big awards for sponsors, are bongacams going to be on your list?

and so close to where I live

something i not understand...

As a studio-owner, 13 years in the bizz, of course I follow bizz-related stuff / news / summits...but when i browse the sites of all these summits, I see more and more studios, not only participating, but also taking / buying bronze, platinum, golden arrangements...

Euhm ? What could be the reason for a Romanian Studio to spend 5 up to 10K to sponsor a summit ?
Ok, I also invest budgets to recruit, to fund incentives, group-parties and so on...but I cannot understand why so many invest these budgets to be "sponsor" at a Summit in Barcelona or where ever ?

Only one reason I can come up with > Bragging ? And when 1 started, others followed...
Seems to have become kinda "bon ton" "to be seen" "strange eager to show off"...

Cause attending a summit, okay...but sponsoring one...nope, i not see any "return" to be gained from it...

But hey, maybe i am missing something

Our bizz of course is a magnet for "show-offs"...
No wonder they call us "cyber-pimps"...some surely deserve that name

You are clearly missing the big picture, it`s not about bragging, it`s about branding.
These summit and events cant take place without the financial support of those sponsors, live cam companies and cam studios. Everyone is showing their support in order to make those events happen so they can meet and discuss business, that`s the main point of this kind of events.
Live cam studios recently started to attend events ( a couple years ago) because they learned it`s the best way to mix and mingle with their business partners. Before that, only live cam companies were sponsoring events, would you acuse them for bragging as well? I think it`s called marketing, brand awareness, it doesnt matter if you are a cam studio, cam site, payment processor, marketing it`s a common language that every person who activates in a business should know - they sponsor an event in exchange of promotion. Simple as that.

Studios some time make special deals with cam companies at the summits and events, like, exclusivities or higher % or conditions. Perhaps, cam companies think that if a studio could afford and care to be at an event, it is big and stable enough to risk making special deals with them. Still, some of the biggest cam studios do not attend events. At the same time, just a few cam companies attend the events, some of the biggest do not attend. What it matters is we're all happy.

BARCELONA, Spain - Nominees are announced for the second annual edition of Live Cam Awards, which will be held March 1st in Barcelona, Spain at the legendary Spanish mansion, Finca Mas Solers. Voting is now open until february 27th, for 30 categories dedicated exclusively to the live cam industry.

One reason could be cause they are working with prepaid deals for pay sites their member area. And that generates money for studio and sponsering an event empowers their clients to make more deals with other paysites? The left hand does not know what the right hand does. Anyway just a wild guess.

There's so many awards in this industry, we've niched the awards and how can you determine who wins? What's the algo? Not only for this event, but for all awards-type events in this industry. Well if it pays, it pays.
