After three months of wasted time and effort, she totally ditched me. I am feeling very down about this but there are other fish in the sea. She is young and immature and basically not a stable person. Has a lot of problems, etc. I still care about her except she is also very mean. Oh well..

Most of them think that there is less work and more money involved than having a "real" job. The exact opposite is the case usually at first and most who are in it for the fast buck are just too flaky to be reliable and wont stick around or even put in the initial effort to get it off the ground. Kudos to solo site successes and good riddance to lazy girls.

Make sure you shoot a full weekend with her on the first shoot. Get 40 to 50 sets if you can and a good 3 hours of video (ideally you want close to 200 sets and 8 to 10 hours of video). Might take 2 weekends to get that much if you don't have a good system down. Get as much as you can shot right away. If you are doing a partnership make sure to put in the contract that if she no longer participates she is no longer entitled to any other revenue. Pay her for her inital time. Make sure she understands that if she walks she forfeits any rights to already shot content. At least then you can use that content on a different project, or sell it out right to get paid for your time.
