Can't find info on CCbill here. Had a question about your experience with them

    Hey,
I've been chatting with a rep over at CCbill to get my account setup for our recurring adult membership subscriptions.
14.5% is the transaction fee and then another $1000/month for the high risk biller fee's with mastercard and visa.

The transaction fee % is lowered once you hit 5k transactions monthly, but we expect to only be around 2-3k transactions monthly for the first several months.

How are you're guys experiences with them? I like their API, it will integrate perfectly with our CRM. Is that a very high transaction fee? Or is that about average with high-risk billing? I did a search for ccbill on gfy to see what some peoples experiences were, but nothing came up in search result. weird...

    cheers!

Wow you are not having a good day in regards to facts or searches. LOL

(If you can't find anything 'CCBill' when you search here I don't know what to tell you.)

But it's $1000 a YEAR (not a month) for Visa/MC. 14.5% for WEEKLY transaction volume, not monthly.

    CCBill is a great company.

I'm seaching CCbill, CC bill and other combos in the search and just getting 'Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.'. I dunno what i'm doing wrong with that lol

Anyways thanks for the info, yea i made some typos it's yearly.

Would you suggest CCbill over any of the other ones? OR a combination of CCbill and another one to add more payment options besides visa and mastercard?

I do CCBill because they also handle my tangible goods DVD sales. Which are also "not risk".

CCBill has heard me tell them for 5 years, that $15 Wires, that cost $15 to receive, in the US, is ridiculous. No free ACH. No $5 Payoneer, no $5 Paxum.

I receive checks (costing 50-cents) when local, and bank by mobile deposit. When traveling, I put my threshold above $300 just to keep the $30 Wire fees around 10%. I might have found a US bank that does not charge to receive Wires. CapitalOne360.com. It is in their FAQ, but I have no actual experience.

International folks would compare their specific Wire costs to banking an American check.

If you can do that anticipated volume -- get a real merchant account with a direct processor first.

Then add some third party processors and alternative payment methods in a cascade to capture the remaining conversion possibilities.

We do well with Epoch's PayPal processing as an alternative.

If you can offer to your customers the option to buy for 12 months at a special price, and pay you direct by ACH or SEPA direct from their bank, bank-to-bank, after one month's purchase -- you will save a lot in fees

As said before, $1,000 a YEAR for those MC & VISA fees...which by the way are MC & VISA fees, NOT "CCBILL" fees...
I have used CCBILL for my billing for nearly 10 YEARS, never missed a check, great help with setup and any accouting needs...
                    Excellent...

Not really, when they handle literally everything...setup, affiliate system, any types of customer service issues help {for the most part}, etc.
I am VERY happy with how that all works...NO complaints.

                        CCBill is pricey but reliable

Why they cant figure out direct deposit has been a sore spot with me for years....If I were starting over today I would NOT use CCBill for that reason but I have a lot of legacy customers so....

I don't know why search is not working for you. Maybe it's a newly registered thing. But to answer your question there are two ways to go:

Use NATS (which has a monthly charge based on volume) and run everything through them. You can use multiple billers, cascade them, create new sites and affiliate programs, etc. But you also need your own merchant account, gateway and will have to handle customer service (and some other things, too).

Or if you don't want that much control, then CCBill with Epoch as a cascade works well (or vice versa). Bear in mind that extra processor will cost an additional $1000 yearly for Visa/MC.

The "advantage" to CCBill is their Affiliate Program. The "advantage" to Epoch is being able to process PayPal payments.

So, as always, many choices and it's up to you how involved you want to be in your own billing process. Verotel and NETbilling have different setups than CCBill and Epoch so you would have to explore those options. Good luck!

Hey Porn Nerd thanks so much for the info, and everyone else!
I already have an affiliate system in place so I won't be using the CCbill affiliate system. Their stats update a little slow in my opinion anyways.

I will be doing 1000-3000 monthly transactions averaging $27 per transaction depending on the month. So while some say the 14.5% transaction fee isn't that bad, well.. it def adds up.

I am checking out NATS now. Haven't looked into them yet. I have a company based in the US and EU so I can use either country for setting up.

Also, I need a merchant that provides good API documentation to properly integrate it with my CRM which we built. That is one thing I liked about CCbill b/c I checked it out and it'll work for me, but i'm guessing this is a standard with merchants?

ccBill back end is a pain in the ass.
Their fees are too high for people doing real money.
You always get paid on time.
If you plan to have affiliates send you traffic you will want ccBill for sure.

@captainking - If you would like a quote, I would be happy to provide one. Just drop a mail to [email protected] - Our annual fee for new sites is only EUR 500 (approx. USD $550) with a base rate of 15.5%. I would also like to point out that after your first year and as long as you maintain a minimum volume of EUR 100/week (approx. USD $110), the annual fee is paid by us on your behalf. While the rate may be higher the startup costs are considerably less. We also offer an API so you can send customizable transactions through to our order page or we have a ready made copy/paste solution aka Verotel RUM Script.

We provide free setup for the Verotel RUM script and we offer free assistance with the setup of our FlexPay API. More information about our integration options can be found at: Technical integration with Verotel is a breeze

Once your volume develops and you start earning the volume mentioned, I can have your account upgraded to Verotel Premium which has a flexible rate table based on volume that starts at 14%, so the more you process, the less you pay. Take a look at: Verotel.com. With Verotel Premium there is no annual fee and if you have previous processing history, I can waive your annual fee requirement from the start. Just drop me an email and we can get started.

We also have an affiliate system in place to assist you with your resellers. This system allows you to set a max % for one-time sales and/or recurring. We do the calculations for you and pay out your resellers at no additional cost. This is entirely automated and no intervention is required on your behalf. If you use NATS, we are also NATS compatible.

To give you a brief overview of Verotel; we have been in the industry since 1998 and are currently processing for more than 50,000 websites. Since our inception we have never missed a payment and we pay out our merchants weekly. We provide our merchants with the ability to accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Diner's Club, & JCB), Direct Debit - Online checks, and Bitcoin.

The most valuable thing that CCBill offers is the built in Affiliate system - If you don't need that then move on...

Anyways thanks for the info, yea i made some typos it's yearly.

Would you suggest CCbill over any of the other ones? OR a combination of CCbill and another one to add more payment options besides visa and mastercard?
As I mentioned in other thread - GFY search function is currently BROKEN!

It doesn't if you have your own merchant account you can just pay once per year and use it with as many gateways as you need.
