I use Cloudflare's free DNS for the majority of my sites now, it's one of the fastest DNS providers (and free!) around - just do a search for dns benchmarks. I don't use any of their other stuff, I just add my dns records and make sure the little cloud images are set to grey and good to go

Changes are also near instant which is always great.
