Have you ever had a woman love you, but you didn't love her?

I read a post a few days ago, I think the one about list 10 things about yourself that nobody knows, and one of you said that you were in a relationship with a women you loved you deeply, but you didn't love her.

I've been there. More than once. It doesn't feel good and I knew out of the gate that it was not going to go where she wanted it to. Yet I stuck it out for a while for some dumb reason.

I know I'm not alone on this.

Guys... or girls... this ever happen to you?

Maybe it's just me, but I sometimes move into a relationship based on a strong LIKE. If I LIKE her a lot, I move forward, thinking perhaps my feelings for her will grow as I get to know her.

So it sounds that some of you wait until you are actually in love with someone to start any sort of relationship with them. Odd. You don't have a period where you date them, get to know them, and get closer?

I was totally into a guy that seemed was the same way with me. Well he ended things with me to go exclusive with another girl. We stayed friends bc he was always honest with me. During their whole relationship she acted more and more like a possessive domineering bitch and he realized he fucked up. He came back to me ended up more head over heels in love than ever. It really sucked while he was with her tho. I had really deep feelings for him and to talk to him and know he was so unhappy was really hard.

Yep.. Done that a few too many times... Its not a good situation to be in yet I keep finding myself in them. Sometimes it seems I just like a girl as a friend or as a good hump BUT they seem to want to take it much further then I ever want to with them... Sucks since I do not want to give up a good friendship and/or hump over it. I try to stay from the start as non-committal as possible with the girl until its just too much of a burden.

I hooked up with this married chick once after listening to her sob story about her hubby beat her. Told her I couldnt be with her until she was divorced. She got divorced, hooked up and fell madly for her. One month away from marrying her, her fucking mom decides to run her life and tries pushing her back to her ex. 9 years later, she marries some other fucking dude that looks like a chipmunk. I ended up marrying someone else cuz I knew she would never come back.

Thats why I got into porn. I figured if I was fucking other girls, i would never think about her...I was wrong. Not a moment or day that goes by Im not thinking of her. FUCK!

almost every time, but the word "love" is wrong, because you can still love someone but not want to be together anymore (love meaning you care about them and what happens to them, but not to the point of sacrficing your self and your freedom in staying with them)

...edit: to clarify my post, I mean you can be in love with someone even though you still dump them because freedom trumps everything else
