                    A penalty is determined because of a series of symptoms. You can do a few tests that help confirm your suspicions but generally if you notice a sudden LARGE drop in ranking and traffic one of two things happened:

                    1) You got hit with a penalty.

                    2) X number of your inbound links were devalued.

                    If you just drop a few spots or a few pages it usually means other people worked harder than you and you need to double up your efforts.

                    I'm not selling you anything so I'm trying to give fair advice. Make sure the SEO person you hire knows the history of your site, when it dropped, and has access to your stats for the last several months and you tell them EVERYTHING you've done to build traffic. If they don't know, or don't care, you can do more harm to your site.

                    Countless people notice a sudden loss in rank and start doing all sorts of SEO, usually just redoing what got them in trouble in the first the place.

                        num of searches per month: 9,140,000
                        Think how much you would make if your site WOULD BE in top10 for credit card and then try to realize how much such seo campaign would cost.

                        I doubt you will find serious seos in this forum ...
