I can't really remember any lamer responses lately than in this thread.

Its hard to do full on sparing with full hitting during training. You really dont know what a hard hit to the head feels like till you hit that ring.
Sure in training you may take a hit or two but nothing like what get in the ring. However you tend not to feel it in the ring when it happens beacuse of all the fight/flight juices flowing. But if you absorb enough your body just shuts down.
He took in a lot of hits.
He's back in the cage for a big fight this September. He's working more on his standing skills and footwork. Also working hard on his cardio/ endurance.
He was a wrestler in school, had a lot of jujitsu submission tourney background and training. His striking skills were lacking.
He'll be ready his next match.

This is still pic of the year for me.

Its these kind of matches (ground submission only no hitting) kind of matches we've all been doing for the last several years.
No one in the family has taken it to the MMA ring since 2005 until now.
Like I said big diff between grappling in jujitsu submission tourneys and entering a MMA ring.
For one check out the crowds! LOL. No babes come watch Jujitsu matches!
In fact I dont think anyone watches em. LOL.

My cousin beat him and beat him with ease.

Unfortunatly he jumps right in there even when he is clearly mismatched...
His brother the one who never lost an MMA match and was one of the baddest mother fuckers in the ring ive seen was excellent at striking. His little bro tried to live up to that but really shouldnt have. He should have retreated until it went to the ground.
With that said he didnt do very well on the ground that night either.
