    My hoverboard broke already

    And of course they are now off of Amazon under that company name... I think I have an issue.

      Something that hovers shouldn't be making contact with the ground. I can't believe people are getting suckered into buying what is essentially a powered skateboard with the wheels re-oriented, just because its been named "hoverboard". That new orientation is also what is causing all of these people to fall on their backs like a rug was pulled out from under them.

      and on top of the shitty ergonomics, they also tend to explode and catch fire.

      I'd be really shocked if that company doesn't get sued for broken tailbones, cracked skulls and burns.

                                  OK, here is the thing. People are stupid. With marketing you can sell ice to eskimos (yes I know racist but it's an old saying and therefore exempt).

                                  Hoverboard is a misnomer clearly as they do not actually do that as it is impossible (with today's technology anyway) BUT they are popular due to the marketing efforts of these companies.

                                  It is laughable seeing people riding on these and yes, even more laughable seeing them fall OFF of the things.

                                              Do you think anyone saw the wheels and assumed it was landing gear? I know you are a grumpy mofo but this time you are way off. The things are easy to ride and fun.
