Once again, there is a very big difference between: a)the swiss army knife you saw someone wield in HS and b) the "Rambo" knife this guy had.

I guarantee you see someone doing that (regardless of size, colour, or otherwise) you'd be running too. Paco, You're saying that your instant reaction would be to attack the guy, with your bare hands? And assume that others will come to your rescue? imo You would likely be the second victim and you could posibly prevented the safe escape of other passengers.
Common sense says that before you make a move, get a clear grasp of the of the situation, develop a plan, then execute.
imo I think the 3 guys involved (trucker, canton and bus driver) did what needed to be done. They went back on the bus with backup and weapons and made sure they couldn't save the guy. They contained him in the bus, They even made sure the guy didn't get away. It would have been cowardly to let the guy get away on the bus. They disabled the bus and kept this psycho where he couldn't harm anyone else.
