Not the same thing at all.. You see, one, the guy was stabbed 60 times.. one would think that within 20 sec, he was dead or a lost case... So no need to save him from another 30 stabs.. and the killer wasnt trying to hurt anyone else.. Now the guy stabbing him had a rambo knife, acted like he was Mike Mayers... maybe he was big, you dont know... If you strike him from behind, whos to say youll knock him out? What if you dont? Fighting in a bus alley is like fighting in a telephone booth, outnumbering someone doesnt mean much and its also something, id think, you dont want to do if the other has a knife ...

read the story again. by the time anyone realized what was happening the guy was more than likely already dead. not only would it have been retarded to try to fight a guy wielding what was described as a "Rambo" knife, it would have been futile because the victim was already dead.
Besides, what the hell are you talking about anyways? What would you have honestly done to this guy? Choke him? He'd stab you. Try to take the knife off him? He'd slash you with it. Your options are pretty limited and chances are you would be on the receiving end of a sharp blade to your body.

I like to think I would keylock him from behind and break his arm (should be easy and safe), but like someone already said, you never know what you'd do in that situation. If the guy had already been stabbed to death for sure I'm just getting my ass off the bus. If it's a woman or a kid being stabbed, I think you just have to go for it. Dying that way would be a good way to go imho, not sure I could live with myself afterwards if I didn't do anything.Comment

"When we came back on the bus, it was visible at the end of the bus he was cutting the guy's head off and pretty much gutting him up," said Caton.
The attacker ran at them, Caton said, and they ran out of the bus, holding the door shut as he tried to slash at the trio.
When the attacker tried to drive the bus away, the driver disabled the vehicle, Caton said.
"While we were watching the door, he calmly walks up to the front with the head in his hand and the knife and just calmly stares at us and drops the head right in front of us," said Caton."
Police cruisers arrived about 10 minutes after the attack began, he estimated, and officers began directing passengers to school buses to take them to a hotel in Brandon.
"While we were waiting on the side of the road, [the attacker] was taunting the police with the head in his hand," said Caton.
Caton described the attacker as appearing "totally normal" earlier in the journey, even chatting with a young woman as he smoked a cigarette during a break.
