This is my and Carrie's (SWASSistant) sunday .. she wrote a blog about it. Which BTW .. means i am famous ... and that peoples threat's about blogging about me are becoming real. Since she already wrote it .. i just stole it from her! Ha!
The Amazingly Awesome Footless Fishnet Thingy's
So, Sunday Megan (my roommate) and I decided to hang out at the house, relax, plan some meals, and get a few things done around the casa. Before it got too late we decided to go tanning, grocery shopping and to Target (not particularly in that order). So after frying our skin in the attempt to get that fabulous sun kissed color that ony scorching hot neon bulbs can recreate we decided that Target should be the next stop.
We chit chat on the way there, like always, going over our what does that mean talk and what's in plan for the next week, besides any extra chit chat about work that we had to get off our chest before Monday. Upon entering Target we grab a cart (cause oh yeah it's gonna be one of those trips) which we struggle with for a bit. We peruse the aisles in search of a good deal and possibly something fabulous. Got some great steals in the accessories since our outtings have become more frequent and what girl cant use more accessories?! Now, this is what leads us to the $1.00 section! Who can't resist stuff for a dollar?! Not I my friend. We search through the madness and come upon the most awesomely amazing fishnet, footless stocking thingy's in the most amazing colors. We immediately reached for them (purple for me and yellow for Megan) and imagined all that we could do in them!! It would be the best buy we could ever find! They found themselves in our large basket quickly.
The Target experience then carried on with Megan trying to figure out how do people wear scarves with t-shirts during the summer (sorry megan, only if you are Brad Pitt does that look hot). She then found the best plaid one and asked if I would like to go hunting...lmao! (definitely had to be there for that one!) It was classic. Now at this point I dont even want to know what on lookers are thinking about us, but I did have to announce that yes we were high...high on life! As I'm sure that didn't help us out either. The Target members were letting us be as we probably had about $500 worth of stuff in our cart between the both of us. And if you have ever been to Target with me you know that I had to take one of everything in the hair and skin care section. In our Target endeavour we also picked up some awesome lunch boxes. A little miss sunshine in a very annoying pink color for me and Megan a scooby doo with the coolest fold out little table thing attatched!!!
After the long checkout process (because we had purchased the whole store) we then headed to the grocery store. On the car ride there, we discussed all that we were going to do when we got home in our new amazingly awesome fishnet, footless, stocking thingy's. Oh the outfits that we could imagine. We knew for sure that we would put them on and unpack the groceries, have some dinner, listen to some Jack Johnson (our future hubby), and get the desk out of the room that I have taken over.
As soon as we hit the door at home we both bolted (and I truly mean that, no exaggeration at all) for our rooms to pick out the most awesome outfit for our new amazingly awesome footless fishnet thingy's! When we were done we jumped into the hallway to show off our creations! And almost immediately hit the floor rolling in laughter. I would have to say that Megan totally outdid me!! Then it hit us like a little light bulb above our heads! We looked like super heroes. 80's super heroes that is! Then we took it a step further. We have a friend that had been working all day and we could tell that his day was not going so well, therefore we would pose in our crime fighting outfits and send him a pic to make his day (by this time it was more like late evening).
Taking one pic turned into a full on photo session! We only had our camera phones, which luckily mine had a timer and was able to sit up itself. Which took some time to figure out too after proping it up on plants and on top of the fridge being rigged up by sugar and ceral boxes. After an amazing photo session and discovering our weapons of choice, Megan a cucumber (hmmm..wonder what the signafies) and me a pink spatula (it means nothing). We sent off our pic and to a couple others. We also discovered everything that we could do better during the next photo session, like including our new awesome lunch bags while fighting crime!! I will post the pic as soon as I figure out how to get it from my phone to here.
And that is the story of how Megan and I became super heroes!
AND HERE FINALLY IS THE PICTURE!! Please note the side ponytail .. because we are bringing that shit back! If i could have only found my jelly shoes!!
