How early to get online for Star Wars?

So we got tickets for the midnight show and I don't want to be stuck in those seats that are so close you have to get a neck cramp to watch.

How early does one get to these things to be in a reasonable spot on line?

EP one I saw the midnight showing and I just drove by the place a few times to see if they were lined up yet. I think I ended up getting in line around 6pm. I was like 30th in line.

Just depends on how big or small your city is and if you have a lot of nerds in your town

I bought tickets the first day they went on sale and have assigned seats, right in the center and about 3/4 of the way back, just where I like it. Just see if your theater will sell tickets to you now with assigned seats or use fandango.com to find a theater close to you that does.

Already got the tickets. They don't do assigned seating here. I'm like 30 mins outside NYC, so the population is pretty dense. I'm starting to think I better get there like 3 or 4 hours early.

these days they have line sitters. Why not look into that if you want prime seats.. These guys are actually NYC.

And yes I sat or stood in line 6 hours for the movie. It is no different than those fools that camp out for their new iphones. I've never stood in those lines for gadgets but back then I was into Star Wars that much that I was willing to do it.

I stood in line for Windows 95 and waited for the CompUSA to open at midnight. But I fucking hate star bores...

Or you could just wait a week and go watch it at 2 pm on a Tuesday. Last time I remember being excited for a movie to the point I wanted to see it the day of release was Batman in 1989. I was 12

I'll watch this movie once the Star Wars frenzy is over.
