Next up .... the 10's ....

What do we have to be proud of for the 00's ????

The 60's .... I can think of some.
The 70's .... I can think of some.
The 80's .... I can think of some.
The 90's .... I can think of some.

I have a hard time finding anything great that was born , ... done, said or any leaders worth 2 shits for the 00's ? What do we have as Americans to be proud of right now for the 00's. I know it's possible to do great things here I've just noticed a bit of a "slump" this decade ( and I'm not talking about if you made or lost a shit load of $ ) . Lets get it together ... yes I'm proud to be here and be an American. Just wondering what the fuck happened ...

Am I prejudice? ... , maybe I missed the value of the IPOD or what Bush has done to spread freedom juice to the neglected. Is it the lack of the draft that makes "young people" so "non responsive" to world events? There was a time when music was inspired ... They use to give a shit ...

Have we accomplished anything? or are we in limbo? When they do the special on the 00's what are the main points that will be emphasized in all parts of our "culture". The Twin Towers ? Just wondering what you think, right now at this moment I'm feeling a little negative ...

I think in the 00's, the internet really came into its own. I mean in the 90's it was there, but never really broke out. Now our lives are almost dependent on it to survive. It's flattened the world in business and leveled the playing field. Now you don't need to be a billionaire to get a new idea started, just $8 and some time. It's also completely changed media. No longer are we told what is news, we are deciding it. Heck, we are even making it with sites such as YouTube.

I think when all is said and done, the internet explosion and the impact on our lives will be the story of the 00's.

**Another one could be cell phones and how we've gone to a culture where we are seconds from contacting anyone, anywhere at any time.

Anybody notice this was ALREADY DONE ... a story rehashed from the 60's and 70's. It was bad enough they "duped" it from there in the 90's but they couldn't come up ( or were to cheap, or realized nobody cares what creativity is ) to come up with a new story?
