If you take drugs, you screw up basically everything. That's how you lose money
This is the best reply, seriously ...
I know first handed (nothing to be proud of but I admit my past mistakes) that it is very easy and the reason isn't the cost of drugs it's the change in your lifestyle. First of all when using that much you are using to escape a problem, period - I don't care what anyone says. Believe it or not, money brings a huge set of problems all by itself. To some, those problems are enough to make them use. For me, I was just miserable with my ex and needed to escape. I escaped not only the reality of my situation with her but my entire life - literally. My god if I had 1.5th the coping skills of life back when I was 20 that I do now .... Wow, I would be one hell of a different person (financially).
Don't count $300 a day for an 8 ball for many reasons the main one being any user like this is buying by the ounce ( or more quite possibly but never less than an ounce) by then and an ounce of solid blow runs you $800 .. You have the good hookup by then so you toss a couple buddies grams at $100 a piece (for shit they couldn't possibly get their hands on it's been chopped so many times it reaches THEIR hands) and you end up paying $400 - $500 for 24 grams of blow pretty much. That will usually last you 3 days or so .. Sometimes only 2 days if you're going at it hard.
The comment about 'without taking a break' is a joke - that person doesn't know any addicts and is lucky enough not to have had anyone close to them be impacted by drugs because the comment of an addict 'taking a break' is asinine beyond all belief, almost unforgivable it is so stupid. There's a reason addicts are addicts - they don't take fucking breaks ever unless they die or quit. Fortunately I quit, although I still have my struggles with occasional usage of other substances that aren't hardcore.
I could go on forever about this topic - I actually found this thread searching for "Golden Tee" ironically cause I'm selling my old machine lmfao .. I just filed CH 7 bankruptcy and less than a decade ago I was making $35,000.00 per week. I lost a lot gambling and in the .com crash but honestly, it was the drugs and the way it altered my view of life that really did me in. I am finally out of another miserable relationship and honestly I'm pretty much fucking broke but I am the happiest I have been in over a decade, including when I was making $30,000 plus a week.
I see good things on the horizon for me again eventually. Those who knew me and dealt with me know I have a great business mind when it comes down to it but I let stupidity, procrastination, and fear of failure get in my way. I am the happiest I have been in my life, ever, right now. I have reasons to strive for success and I have learned from my failures and seen many lives destroyed or lost around me due to drugs - it's really sad especially when people make jokes about it and how so and so is 'out of the game' or whatever because of drugs. A lot of great minds and people with tremendous potential have lost it all due to drug usage, and yeah I actually do believe that Marijuana is a "gateway drug".
If the person has an addictive personality, sniffing that first marker could be all it takes. I am all for 'addiction education' becoming a standard class for kids in grade school. Explaining how to deal with addictive behaviors and offering help to those that see the warning signs in themselves. Addiction, in general not just drugs, has ruined so many lives it is one of the worst things that could possibly happen to ANY person. Fortunately enough for me God has some sort of plan for my ass or I would not be around, believe me ..
Anyways, I see it as a topic of discussion here and frequently think about chiming in but rarely do. I have no idea why I did tonight - maybe because I truly have hope in my life again and am realizing what TRUE love is for the first time in my life (my daughter) and the things you will do for it up against the wall. Some people anyways, I can also understand why crack addict mothers are able to ditch their kids being an ex addict and it actually has absolutely nothing to do with them just needing that next hit. It stems from deeper emotional problems, mental health (no I'm clinically insane or anything, just had serious depression not Bi Polar or anything) is becoming a much more acceptable topic to be discussed openly and as that changes I think drug abuse will also start to decline side by side. 98% of people out there using more than once a week do it because of emotional problems not just because they enjoy it regardless of what they SAY.
The very fact that I'm alive and walking is proof positive there's no such thing as Karma.
Don't be fooled by stories told to children to make them feel alright about the World not being fair. It's not fair, and no mystical force is going to balance that after the fact.
They go broke from supporting all their "friends" drugging, drinking, and whoring too. It gets lonely when you are rich, drug addicts have no problem being your friend.
It's not the cost of the drugs, it's the cost of having an entourage, and going out every night.
Bottle service at clubs in Hollywood can easily set you back $3,000 a night. A lot of these guys go out 5 nights a week. Now you are an easy $15,000 a week times add in the cost of 2 zips of coke a week for you your buddies @ $2,000 a week, cost of taking limos or car services @ $3,000 a week now you are up $20,000 a week for partying times 52 = $1,0404,000 or just over a million a year.
Now add in the cost of hookers!!!!!!
Reality TV Star, AVN Hall of Fame, Five-Time XBIZ Winner

But I don't think it's even that. The price of the drugs moneywise don't really account for much, like you said with a million dollars you can get that stuff forever. But once you're in a lifestyle, you're spending alot of money to maintain it. That's alright, and it works if you keep making that money, but if you do drugs and start getting lazy/procrastinating THATS how you go broke. The price of the drugs themselves are probably nothing compared to rent on many houses, cars and things like that. No work = no money.

Just my
Finally, someone with a clue who breaks down the financials and reasoning properly.
I'd ignore most of the article.
Unless he means his good friend / business partner Scott, who went to jail for kidnap and torture...
You'd be amazed by the number of people who run sites quietly still ... Not sayign Scott is one of them, but who knows .. He is probably out by now I don't think he meant Dean cause Dean went mainstream (well Casino anyways) there were a couple other Aussies though that were more low key ...
cuz I hate how folks try to spin everything towards religion. If your religious great but keep it to yourself. I don't need to hear about your retarded fantasy land and your imaginary ghost in the sky
Believing in karma has nothing to do with religion.
100k a year on drugs 200k+ to live. Add in that you are high all the time so your financial shit is fucked up. Smash up a few cars, pay fines and lawyers. Spend some cash trying to revive a totally dead career and bam your broke.
Your example is perfect. It took him about 10 years to blow through all of the cash.
LOL@ 200k....Bro some peope spend 200k on the landscapers in a year...

A hardcore coke user will not do an 8ball a day -- they will do as much as they can get up their noses. Add to that all the booze, the whores, and paying for them to get wasted as well -- not to mention all the hangers on, and paying for them to get fucked as well.
Eric Clapton was so broke from getting high at the end of the 1970s, he had to sell his guitars to get more smack. He was paying for his whole crew to get high for about 5 years straight -- that shit adds up. I remember reading about Aerosmith, and how they used to go through a bag of coke the same size as what you get from the super market to put fruit in during an average weekend. That shit costs a lot of money!
How Do Millionaires Go Broke From Drugs? It sounds like a stupid question until you break it down and start doing the math.
Ok so let's say you do an 8 ball of coke a day which is alot of fucking coke.
An 8 ball is about $300 at the very most and that is top of the line blow.
That comes out to $109,500 which if your a millionaire that is nothing. So how the fuck do people lose all their money from drugs?
Rich people don't pay street level prices because they are being watched and therefore
pay a premium for low profile dealers.
Remeber Charlie Sheen and $1500 hookers?
If the hooker brings some "extra goodies" then another grand maybe?
