belly
eyebrow three times (dont have them anymore)
nose (dont have it anymore)
Tongue has been pierced for about 10 years
and my favorite... My nipples for about 4 1/2 years

Plenty of opportunity to do it, but so far, I can't see a belly ring doing anything but detracting from what my tummy is there for...licking.
It has gone the way of the female lower back tattoo...what started as a VERY sexy body mod has been inbred into belly bling and tramp stamps. Unfortunate, but true. Until we can lock the trash back in the trailer for a few generations and let these beautiful body mods revert back to their former glory, this tummy will remain free of hardware.
It's unfortunate that popular fashion overshadows, and eventually destroys it for everybody. Don't believe me? Try saying the simple phrase "That's Hot" without thinking of Paris Hilton. She fucked it up for everybody. That's what seems to be happening to belly piercings.

You are ABSOLUTELY correct in your assertion that it's a mainstream thing...that's exactly my point. That is the precise reason I don't want it. It's no different than the Hybrid car phenomenon lately. Mindless sheep run right out and do something because the person next to them does it...pretty soon, no one knows WHY they did, other than the fact that it's MAINSTREAM. Not a good enough reason for me personally.
