I was a groomsman at a friend's wedding several years ago, and one of the other groomsmen had an issue somewhat similar to OP. During the rehearsal dinner, a guy seated with us made a statement akin to what you said, "I'll reach out to Mark". We all looked at each other like yeah, right, and shrugged it off. A couple weeks later, the other groomsman posted on his FB page that it had mysteriously fixed itself. Even crazier, we've all described the gentleman to the bride and groom, and neither of them know who we're talking about. Strange shit.
