1. This war can't be won since neither they nor us even know who is fighting anymore or what the goal of the war is.
2. He can't do anything to the web. Perhaps he can put limitations on it in the US. But there is a whole world out there willing to make money on the web. He would just be leaving loads of money on the table. Not to mention how much that would hurt the tech sector, most notably but not restricted to software and computer manufactures.
3. He won't get elected anyways. He is a pawn tossed out so that the Democrats win and clean up the mess the Republicans made (look to history...the proof is there). They will put up a real candidate in the next election.

We are winning the war, on both fronts. Yeah there are alot of loose ends but us staying is important. McCain gets it, Obama does not. Hopefully after this trip overseas Obama can find the middle road and make some wise decisions on his stance.Comment

As far as I know, The War in Iraq has already been won.
It was the whole Nation building thing that protracted American Presence. I do not think we Americans were sold that during the pre amble to the Iraq War.
The Saddam Regime was out and in ruins within the first week and that was supposedly mission accomplished. I do not think we really had to stay after that. Soviet Union won a war in Afghanistan within minutes. The Amin's regime was out. That was supposedly mission accomplished. During all the operation Russian special forces lost only 10 soldiers. In fact after we wrecked Amin's leadership the USSR should have bailed Afghanistan and closed the book and let them people rebuild their own way.
But actually you know the truth. ANY war can be considered as won (mission accomplished and blah-blah-blah), only when your soldiers will stop arriving their homes in coffins
