So its coming up so fast and Im kinda getting excited the Summer Internext 2008!
I guess i can be considered I can be trade show vet having actively attending trade shows all over North America for the past 7 years and with the upcoming Miami show I wanted to share some quick tips to make this your best show ever!
So lets cut the crap and get right to it!
1.Unlike the Vegas Internext where walking and being on your feet for long periods of time is part of the show , Hollywood has a total different feel. Bring your flip flops and fancy shoes for nights on the town. You?re never really that far from your hotel with the current set up ,so walking long distances isn't a big deal.
2.It?s going to feel like a sauna and its going to be muggy and guess what, water is expensive. Head down to the store and grad some water and fight the temptation of drinking the 8$ bottle luke warm water by your bed at 6 am hung over praying for death or a blowjob.Whatever comes first.
3. I say this for every show and I cant stress enough this time is bring your vitamins! Pop one before you pass out and one in the morning it will do the body wonders! While you?re at it use hand sanitizer. I?m not a germ freak or anything but c?mon I knew you jerked it last night! Im not hating so did I I?m just saying. Wash your shit hommie! Lol
4. This is the one time in your life you?re going to take your man pill and on the second day of the show head down to the Westin Diplomat Spa get a message! ITs awesome! Not the happy ending kind but the deep tissue kind and get all those toxins out. I will give you time to regroup, reflect and get sexified for the last day of the show! Look good feel even better!
5. Bring your bizness cards they are still in style. Not all cards end up as filters in joints so have them made!In a perfect world make sure they are done professionally and with a mug shot. Your going to get a zillion cards and your ugly mug (mine included) with help me remembers who you are and how we can work together. A kinkos card is better than no card.
6. Introduce yourself! Reach out people. Walk over and say hi. Be assertive, time it appriately and shake the person?s hand. Not all girls want the hug and going to the handshake first is more appriate. Don?t be *THAT GUY*
7. Identify yourself on the phone. Hey dude, bro or pulling what do you mean you don?t know whom this is we do 100448484 of joins a day line or my personal fav, Im so and so from message boards xyz. Save me the guesswork and wasted conversation, be direct. Hello Derek *Dwreck* from WebcamCash here and mention a point of reference and move on.
8. Plan your trip. Figure out what events you want to goto and stick to the plan loosely. If you go in blind and thinking your going to roll with the punches your going to end up drunk at 3 am at scarlettes with me. You don?t want that to happen.
9. Don?t hang out with your HOMMIES, BROS or GURLZ the whole show. ITs clicky and very highschool like. I can appreciate u hanging out with people you do biz with. Make time for them 100% but make an attempt to meet someone new. I find it humrous that people need to latch on to people for comfort. Get out there make it happen! Its all you baby! No one else is paying your bills!
9. Collared shirts, jeans and dress shoes is standard Miami Dress wear at night. Not open toed shoes, jean shorts and Hawaiian shirts. I can spot webmasters a mile away with the baggy shirt and their idea of dressing up to impress is tucking in their shirt. Cmon guys Get it together !Girls less the better. hehe Side boob is nice
10. Webmasters have ego?s. Bite your lip, smile, lets the booze do the talking for them and take the high road. Politely take their card it?s a good way to end it. Stay humble and don't give to much away.
11. "All the biz is done at the parties" is a common saying! Not true all the biz is done at the pool! LOL Bring your sunglasses sun block and head gear. And btw if sunglasses get any bigger on girls im just going to bring a helmet with a full visor and say here wear that! Now no one can see you! Happy now?

12. Nothing of value is being done biz wise at 2 am. You don?t need to be up till 4 am to close the deal with a company. Go to bed get be fresh in the am! NO she doesnt like you ,she is a model, your drunk, its 2 am and she looking to party.She doesnt like you. Sorry dude. BED TIME!
13. Yes Camera, ipods, laptops, vibrators etc all need chargers and tend to get forgotten in the rooms or lost. Be aware.
14. Take advantages of the free lunches and parties. I learn t this trick from JFK years ago. Watch that man in action. HE told me once its not what you spend its what you save and he a master. Far from Cheap man he has gone way beyond the duty for me but there is a something to be said about his methods. I Know mojitos are 19$ a pop! I don?t mind normally but if you look at your party schedule you can hit a party even during the day drink for free do biz then head down my the pool all in 20 mins! Save yourself the money.
15. Yes the cleaning staff is going to knock on your door at 7 am. So make sure you clean off the glass surfaces, move the towel away from the bottom of the door and have underwear on. or have the plush westin robe near by. I have scared too many Latina maids in the past.
16. Always make a point to thank the sponsor of the party. Seek out an rep or owner of the company and thank them. Those parties aren?t cheap and taking 5 mins out between shots to think about how you can work together is in your best interest.
17. Befriend the local staff ! IF you don?t they can make your trip a hassle. Remember they will get you in when you go out to the beach area and forget your room key on by the bar and get locked out, help you to your room when you?re drunk, slide you a few free drinks and introduce you to the local hotties. SO I heard????hehe
18. Seriously check out the swag and contests! Its getting better and more creative each year. From flasks, skateboards, hot sauce, to trips the odds are pretty good to winning.
19. There is no 19. I would join webcamcash.com if I were you. Just a random thought anyways back to biz. hehe
20. This is the big time the players, playettes and future Dwrecks lol will be around. If your a veteran don't snub the newbie or talk down to them. And if your a regular don't be a star fucker. I only hang out with owners! pfffff your transparent and i spot you a mile away. The guys that made time for me when i was newbie i have a made a point to give back to them and I plan I doing that again. The industry inst as big as you think and people talk. Hold your self to a higher level!
