They were one of the first studios to fuck over their distributors and sell direct to stores. Not shocking they'd do the same thing to their affiliates online

i wasn't aware of that.

i used them for ages and they always paid on time, my experience was good, regardless of not knowing about that little bit of history.

Rednax - check your fhg's though.

Vivid no longer owns half the domains they place their fhg's on, which are STILL available in the vivid backend, which blatantly shows their disregard for webmasters.

They're basically giving you fhg's that don't exist, so if you were to ever import them into a tgp script, your traffic is gone.

I've had them imported into my tgp script since last year, and trusting them as I did, I didn't think I needed to make sure a company like Vivid would screw us over like this and not even take good measures to make sure all the webmasters know not to send traffic to those domains anymore.

What's going on vivid - did you sell the domains with part of the deal being you won't tell the webmasters and your buyer will consume the remaining traffic till someone notices it? wtf...

I am really pissed off and upset about this.

Was fine for me too, until I noticed I had sent tons of traffic to nonexistant galleries. These are galleries I've had up for ages and never expected someone like Vivid to lose/sell the domains their own content is hosted on...AND NOT TELL US OR MAKE A BIG NOTE OF IT IN THEIR ADMIN.

Now what am I supposed to do with all the traffic lost?

maybe you should start threads like this because if you're getting screwed, then others are too.

all the FHG's I checked on the domains 1215 mentioned still work, and go to the relevant join page with ref code still intact.

Is this about FHG URL's that used to be on their FHG list but aren't any longer?

Hey guys,

This has all been taken care of with the guys who administer the domains which the hosted galleries reside on. New webmasters may have noticed that hosted galleries are not available until we activate them for this very reason (I'm not comfortable with a 3rd party hosting/administering for us) and we let them know that we don't control these servers or the domains for that matter. This is a long story as to how this deal came about and I've been against it from the very beginning. Mainly because it makes no fucking sense but I don't make all the decisions. Hit me up if you feel you should be credited and we'll take care of it.

Downtime was around one day, little less from the info I got on when changes were made to the domains.

i just think if there's ever going to be possible downtime with vivid's galleries, they need to post a note in the admin for webmasters and send an email too.
