    Ever looked at the all time most watched videos on youtube? Avril Lavigne's 'Girlfriend' is at the top with over 93M views. I didn't know she was that big.

      dont want to sound like a youtube freak but she was getting close to that evolution of dance video... she was like 10 million off... all of the sudden her fans decided they wanted her to be #1 and they watched her video everytime they were online just to get her to the top... read some of the comments on her video

                  A core group of her fans made a site that you can keep open and it auto plays the video every 15 seconds so it can artificially inflate the view totals. I also read that Avril has a youtube account and has made some serious money from the advertising views on that video since this campaign from her fans started.

I think they just bought ad time and didn't realize they would be lost in a bot. I would imagine they are not happy with the results of that advertising.
