    Need Member Area CMS. Suggestions?

Need a member's area CMS. I have searched and searched, but none really seem to have what I need. Suggestions?

    Options that I need:

    - Videos and Photo Galleries, so most Tube scripts won't work for me.

    - Multi-level Categories AND/OR Advanced Search.
    - - Jane Smith > Blow Jobs = All photos/videos of Jane Smith performing a BJ.
    - - Blow Jobs & Anal = Only content that features both blow jobs and anal.
(It seems every CMS I have found only allows one category/search term at a time.)

    - Has to be sold as a stand-alone script. Not interested in changing my host.
(Why do so many CMS providers require you to switch to their hosting?)
    DiaperedOnline.com - Yup. It's diaper fetish.

ElevatedX will do damn near everything
Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
      think about that

I looked long and hard at ElevatedX, but the cost to benefit ratio is way off. The category/search system is infantile at best. The difficulty in changing the theme is abysmal. They charge extra for features that should be included in the primary package. Looks great for unfocused sites that just throw a lot of porn at it's members, but my site is fetish oriented and requires a more personal feel with searchable content.

          Have you tried WordPress?

WordPress is really just a CMS. You can hack away all day if you know what you're doing. There are a lot of plug-ins and themes on the market that should be able to do what you want. Try that route, bring in a programmer to make the hacks that you need and keep the whole system light so it's not dragging for your members.

Be careful of security vulnerabilities and also unnecessary bloat. The programmer above should be able to help you with those.

I use Wordpress now and have for years. It works for now, but after twenty years in this business, I have too much content. It really needs to be searchable by model and sub-category. As much as I have tried, WordPress just can't seem to make that happen. I have tried using tags with categories and every other option under the sun, but to no avail. The few plugins that are supposed to add that functionality fall short. I was just hoping an existing CMS would have everything I needed. lol

You are wandering into the area that most paysites seem to land, custom CMS. If you plan it out properly, you can also use it as a marketing tool in conjunction with your tour. This can lead to more sales and better retention (thanks to your members area updates,) recouping your money invested.

Buckle up, a long journey awaits you. ;-)

Yeah. I hear you there. I'm just gun shy of custom stuff. Burned too many times. First time, I hired a guy that seemed like he knew his stuff. Spent way too much money for what was basically a pile of garbage. Learned my lesson.

Second time, hired a reputable company. Paid them a ton of money and got something that looked good, but didn't include the features I asked for(and they promised). When I brought it to their attention, they tried to convince me it wasn't necessary and refused to finish the project unless I paid them double.

Third time, another 'reputable' company. Paid them a deposit and six months later, I can't even get them to answer my emails.

At this point, I have given up on custom. I might just go learn to make my own CMS... lol.

Our tube script supports galleries, and we could get the rest of the stuff in there that you need at relatively low cost as it's not very time consuming to code in.

Hmm. We have (what we believe) is a pretty good advanced search form with a lot of filtering options. If it's not robust enough for you and you have suggestions we're more than happy to evaluate them and see if changing the search options is doable.

The latest Elevated X version was switched from Smarty to PHP based templates a few months ago. They're 100% tableless CSS and HTML and very easy to edit now in comparison to all previous CMS versions. As an example, I can personally re-theme a whole site in about 2 work days and I have zero coding skills beynd HTML and CSS.

We power a lot of very successful fetish sites but it sounds like you've already made up your mind. That's fine but I want to be sure you're ruling things out based on accurate info and not assumptions so you end up with a CMS you'll be happy using not just short term but for the next several years.

Feel free to email or Skype me anytime or we can setup a time to talk by phone.

Best of luck with the search!

What I need in a category/search function is to be able to search for specific content under a specific model or only show content that matches every category selected.

                                      Examples:
                                      - Optionally choose between strict or broad searches.
                                      - - "A and B" shows only content with both A and B.
                                      - - "A or B" shows all content from both categories.

                                      - Search for blow jobs AND anal under Jane Doe, it only shows me content of Jane Doe where she does both.
                                      - Search for blow jobs OR anal under Jane Doe, it shows me everything with blow jobs and everything with anal.

                                      Etc, etc.

Your current Demo doesn't seem to have that capability. Did I miss it? Or is it available, but not in the Demo?

Additional concerns are the cost involved. I am a business man and I understand being profitable, but it seems like you charge a premium for features that should just be a default option. Hell, I can even understand a one time fee to add an option to a program that already has a monthly fee, but adding an additional monthly fee really puts your software out of reach for the vast majority of webmasters.

Also, your hosting option is quite limited. Perhaps this is simply an issue with the host you are using, but the bandwidth allotment is abysmal. I pay less to my current host and get ten times the bandwidth. The cost of overages with your host would kill my bottom line. Any plans to choose a host with a higher allotment?

                                        Search:
If you click advanced search next to the search field in the pro cms demo you?ll see the form. The only thing lacking function-wise is the ability to search based on your AND criteria. It currently returns results matching both. I?ll see about extending this to let someone apply more granular filters.

If you enter a name it will filter by name as well as keyword but there?s no specific menu for selecting a model from a list. I?ll look into adding a list of models now or in the next software update to make that feature obvious.

We seldom get requests for search related features since unless a site has a massive amount of content, most of the time someone doing a granular search like you described will return few if any results. Almost everything we do/fix/add to the CMS is based on customer request but even though we don?t get many requests for additional search options, it wouldn?t hurt to have them so I'll add it to the to-do list here based on your feedback here and seeing that as a lacking feature.

                                        Hosting:
The hosted option is something we offer as a convenient starting point that works well for a lot of sites. Since you?re describing it as ?abysmal?, suffice to say it?s not going to meet your needs. We work exclusively with MojoHost on those plans. They?re one of the best in the business so the plan can be tailored for you as needed. Or, if you prefer, you can choose to use any hosting company you like. We don?t force you to buy the CMS with hosting, you?re welcome to host anywhere.

I realize there are various factors every site owner needs to consider, including costs and that Elevated X is not an option for everyone.

Soon we'll be moving toward a more all inclusive add-on package that will encompass many additional features we have in the works rather than have people continue to pay a la carte for new things.

Feel free to hit me up directly via email or Skype if you have questions about anything.

No, Naked Hosting offers that bundled because THEY provide the tech support including CMS support on that $49 plan.

The same thing (unhosted) from us is $89 because WE (Elevated X) provide the support in house.

For what its worth I'd have to agree that the Elevated X add-on costs are kind of a turn-off. For example, a responsive site is an absolute minimum requirement in 2016 and beyond as mobile device traffic is quickly matching or exceeding desktop traffic. Not including this as standard in both the basic and pro versions is really unacceptable in my opinion. And from what I see, it looks like the EX responsive solution is to direct mobile users to another template, whereas in Wordpress you can just use one responsive theme that looks good everywhere.

Don't get me wrong, EX is obviously a great product and AJ's comments here at GFY are very professional and helpful. But when I check the EX features and don't see responsive theme templates included in the price that is a BIG red flag for me and I suspect many others. To me that's like selling someone a car but then saying "Oh, by the way if you want a steering wheel that's $50 extra a month".

Exactly. Depending on where you look, the majority of statistics say between 20-40% of traffic comes from mobile devices these days. A mobile site option should definitely be part of the default package.

Also, all the add-ons are charged monthly! I can understand a one time fee, since the CMS is already a monthly cost, but paying monthly for add-ons is ridiculous in my opinion.
