I don't approve of harassing people, but I also don't approve of getting upset and offended anytime someone says something goofy to you.
I was once with my brother on the boardwalk. There were three little kids playing on a bike, they were having a blast. As we were strolling by them I asked the kids if they were having a fun time. My brother yelled at me for being offensive.
Later that day we went out for sushi. The waitress had pink braces on. I told her that I liked her braces. She smiled. My brother yelled at me for being offensive.
