Hanging Out in Dublin? Where is da best Bars?

Forget Dublin Max, it's like any European capital now and you'll barely hear a Irish accent. All the pubs in the Temple bar area are just for tourists.

If you have the time get out of Dublin, Galway is a great town for pubs and Irish music (about 3 hrs from Dublin I think, maybe less) or my own neck of the woods... Kerry. West Kerry has some stunning scenery and some great pubs.

Just don't try and shoot a couple of scenes there, or you'll have the parish priest chasing you out of town.

Fibber McGees and the Gin Palace are always a good time if you're into the local tunes.

Dice Bar...just past Smithfield (Chilled Atmosphere...a good starting point)
Sin é (pronounced eh??) on the Quay (North side...great tunes and it feels like your in a Submarine)
Boars Head on Abbey street...old man pub with alot of lads talking mad shiite!
Grogans on Dames Court(legendary pub...hasn't been renovated in about 90 years...seriously, but the pints are magic)
Flannerys (great live acts) on Wexford Street
Copper's(Nightclub) on the South Circular (Full of horny women form the south )
Dice Rileys on Harcourt Street...pub/club...lots of college chicks and a huge beer garden for the smokers.
After that it doesn't matter where you go to as you will be nicely mashed

Temple Bar is definitely a bit of a tourist trap but worth a look. Mabye just to pick up a Aran sweater and some English chicks over on a Hen night or a tasty Kebab!
Don't be surprised if you get charged ?6.00 a pint though and ?15 for a cocktail
The city is full of good pubs though, it's can be a little tricky to find them sometimes though

i went to temple bar when i was there and had a blast. we also went to some wine bar which was open later than the other bars but only sold champagne and wine, the bouncer told us it was a triad bar and dont fuck with any of the asian guys in there or they will fuck us up bad. it was probably a bad idea to go in there but we were drunk and it was the only place to go.

Pravda i've been there is really nice!
