    Can't break 1,000

    Ok so I have had petitekittens.com up for about 4 months. I have built up traffic to about 900 uniques a day give or take. My bounce rate is averaging around 48% (good) but I just can't seem to break 1K uniques a day.

    Here's all the steps I have taken to get more traffic.
    1. I have listed the site on about 50 top lists (added links to them)
    2. I used thunder-ball to exchange links with hundreds of other sites (Some PR 3-4)
    3. I have added a link back to petitekittens.com on all of my galleries (submitted to TGPs)
    4. I have traded links here on GFY
    5. I have done all the SEO work (that's what I do for a living).
    6. I have sat back and waited.

    It just seems like I should be getting way more traffic than that. I'm just trying to get to the 1K mark but I know I should be getting a lot more than that by now.

    What gives here? Is it just bad time for the industry or does my site suck?! I know the teen niche is pretty saturated but 4 months and only 900 uniques???

    Any suggestions?

          What about traffic trades? Use a script like ATX, and skim some of the traffic to your trading partners. You can set different skims for different traffic, thus you can keep your bookmarkers happy. Buy some traffic to feed the trades, and your site will grow.

          If you buy traffic, go with Trafficholder. You can buy traffic by niche, by geo-location, or by domain. Plus, they filter out all the garbage. And their prices are very reasonable!

              Honestly 900 a day is pretty decent considering you aren't skimming. I'd be tempted to stick with what you're doing. I'd take 900 real, clicked hits over 10K of skimmed any day.

              You've got to skim if you want more traffic. As suggested, get a copy of ATX and install it. Send between 60-70% of clicks to galleries, the rest to trades.

              Don't waste your time with SEO on a TGP. That's like washing and waxing a '74 Ford Pinto.

              Last but not least, avoid trafficholder. The traffic is very unproductive. Nobody would recommend them if not for their affiliate program.

                  900 uniques a day after 4 months is pretty good, just keep doing what you're doing.

                      I tried traffic holder and it sucked ass. Yeah they sent a few thousand hits but it was all skimmed, blind traffic that ammounts to nothing.

                      I'll just keep doing what I'm doing.

                              Actually, I have had a lot of success with trafficholder. Also, when I check my referral stats, I see that the majority of the people I've referred have made more than one purchase from trafficholder... which tends to indicate that they were very happy with the results.

                                              I'd be more worried about quality then the amount, unless you have some lame pop-up or something else you are trying to get hit a ton of times

                                                  I would check your keyword search volumes and keyword density via Google. I'm sure you could up your uniques to double what you have.
