Really i dont hate apple.. More power to them for creating a brand that has hooked people so hardcore.. Ive owned the first ipad and bought my daughter a MacBook pro cause she wanted it.. Used both products and found them great for closed minded people that just want it to work and dont mind overpaying for it.. For me i love android phones. My samsung tablet and windows computer..Comment

For a coder, the Apple platform is not a closed platform, but one which opens up a world of possibilities not possible on Windows.
There's more great Apps for OS X than Windows these days. Some of the most important applications I use don't have Windows equivalents.
The Apple Website went down because of the iPhone pre-order rush. It just didn't cope with the demand and considering it's an ultra high traffic website already then I am sure that the iPhone 6S & 6S Plus will be another amazing success story.Comment

My main PC here is four years old, rivals anything Apple makes, and has never had a problem. I have another PC that has never had any issues, and four laptops all with no issues. I also have a Surface with no issues, and two kindles.
The only thing we have problems with is our iPhones. Mostly with cracked screens.Herschel Savage

I'm no apple fanboi, I own an android phone, an IPad and all my PCs and laptops run windows or linux.

Logic Pro X
On my Music workstation I have Logic Pro X. I use Ableton Live and Native Instruments Maschine but it's Logic Pro that provides all the functionality I need to do final mixes.

They are, and they are a world apart from the pedestrian, boring, functional but frustrating applications you mostly find on Windows.
I use Apple OS X and the great apps on it because they're great, not because they are just good enough. Most people use Windows because "it's good enough" but it's not great, it doesn't inspire, it's boring and functional without being inspiring.Comment

Give up, Mr. King - arguing with Windows-heads about Apple & Macs is pointless. Here's the truth about them. Many Apple users including myself, used to use PC's. We have tried both platforms, and prefer Apple products now because they are simply better, for us at least. PC users on the other hand NEVER try Mac and prefer to keep with what they know instead of branch out.

I use Mac and PC daily. I like them both for different reasons.
At the end of the day, they are all just tools that can help you complete tasks. How you use those tools is completely up to you. I can do more with my PC than most people can on their Mac, and I can do more on my Mac than most people can with their PC.

Nice try but people use windows because there is many different types of computers and brands. Some might just need a $400 computer or a $3,000+ gaming computer. With windows based computers you can pick from 1,000s of computers or build your own.
This is also why I like android over iphone. Many choices of phones/tablets for my needs. I'm not being told to pick the 6 or 6s. My phones have usb and micro sd cards rather than over paying for a 64gig or 128 gig iphone.Comment
