I stayed for 3 weeks in and around the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok. Great area - lots of bars, shopping...and right on the subway route which is a very convenient way to travel the city. If you have any questions...let me know - i spent a few months in Thailand and did a shitload of research on the country prior to going.

I've noticed people here on the board have a hard time believing anyone would want to move more than a few thousand miles (usually within the USA). My Dad is the same way. Until people have a look at the world and see what nice places there are to live around the globe they will always question others who have been to see. We're thinking of moving to France the end of the year mostly just for a change of scene. Besides, its only about 100 miles south.
