When I started in this game, I was getting almost Aus$2 to the US$1. Now my income has basically been fucked by 40%. Stupid American Govt. Glad I pulled out all my US$ savings 3 years ago, wish I'd done it 5 ago.

There's no end in sight either. I'd say seriously 5 years + before the US pulls their shit together.

What is nice is that while this undervaluation is happening Bush and his cronies can point out that their Billions in profits are also getting hammered just like everyone else...

But then in 4 years when the dollar is back to normal with a real President his cronies get twice the money.

I think the days of the dollar, as issued by the Fed, are numbered. The real collapse is about to begin as US banks start reporting their real credit writedown numbers. Expect to see bankruptcies of many small and major US banks in the next year or two.

Guys, you're looking at things the wrong way around. I know the $ - EUR rate sucks at the moment, but look at the plus side. If you use the $'s to buy stuff, its shit cheap at the moment.

For example I buy domain names for investments and also have a small domain registration business in Europe. I buy for $ and sell for EUR using sponsors $ payments to fund the purchases, so I'm getting a exchange rate of about $1 = EUR1.20.

Of course it's not quite that simple, but you get the idea.
