yea well this is not my first project and this project has nothing with my bottom-line money making to do so everything over the couple 100 bucks Iv'e spent is success. Ofcourse much more than that I hope for as time goes

All these blog empire threads fail. Just start one blog in a niche you like for crying out loud and make frequent posts!
I actually started a blog not too long after this guy did and I have made a handful of sales already, probably $200-$300 worth, between sponsor signups, webcam revenue splitting, VOD sign ups plus more sales from linking to my own downloadable clips store. You have to like what you are doing not just go through the motions because someone told you this was the thing to do nowadays.Comment

You mean you started your blog not so long after I started my first ones in 04/05 or you mean not long after this project? All these blog empire threads fail. Just start one blog in a niche you like for crying out loud and make frequent posts!

Do you think one can survive financially on just 10 blogs? Possibly. If you get that shit SE traffic without the good converting keyword/proper site, forget it. You'll be making only 3-4 sales a month per blog. And that's not always easy to do depending on the competition.Comment

I personally rely on MANY more, since really profitable long term top 3 listings aren't easy to get and keep. Let's face it, getting on page 1 is easy, but getting where the real money is, is alot more challenging and you can never feel safe and sit back, there is almost always a competitor just waiting for you to become lazy.Do you think one can survive financially on just 10 blogs? About 20% of my blogs generate 80% of my income, half of those 20% are constantly changing. The google index and algo aren't static, so pushing just a few sites and hoping the money will keep flowing forever is risky. There are sites that dominated the serps for a huge variety of terms that barely have any good listings left half a year later.
So my recommendation to survive and prosper in this battle: Diversify, as much as you can, build several independant networks and don't stop pushing a site once you got a listing making you alot of money...it's tempting to sit back and enjoy the results of your work, but it will be gone in just a few months or even weeks if you stop adding new links.Comment

Here is a little update for you guys. The network has gotten ~5000 uniques so far in July and made 1 free trial sale from www.bubblebuttbooty.net to STFUCash rendering in $50. It has also generated 4 Loaded Cash free signups, none have converted to PPS yet.

I will actually add something to this thread. I am not a full timre webmaster but I wanted to learn about traffic and blogging and I started a blog called http://Sisterlicious.com about seven weeks ago which I devote very minimal time to. I probably don't even have it very optimized for sales quite frankly, and it's on a pretty narrow topic, sisters & twins in porn. I have made a nice bunch of mostly private chat sales to the softcore webcam sponsor CamWithHer.com (my end, 20%, totals $341.50 since early June) that keep popping up in my email every few days, and which will hopefully continue up to the 255 day cookie limit. (Lifetime revshare would be better...)
I also sold a few $35 Adult Rental PPS sign ups. Plus I send some traffic to my own clips stores which surely makes a few sales as well that I am not tracking directly. All in all not bad for an experiment. I can see replicating this minor success with multiple blogs on different topics if I was a full time webmaster and learned a bit more about maximizing my traffic and I am sure that others could do even better than that. But I am too busy filming and editing video and running my business to do it all.Last edited by Jim_Gunn; 08-02-2008, 10:52 PM.Comment

I just recently started my second blog network but I seem to have the same problem as the first. And I'm not talking about updates. The problem is getting back links. It's a never ending process and time consuming one, especially when launching new blogs (I'm building 5 a week)
I was thinking about picking up links organizer. It sounds like it could help me big time. Any thoughts?:: ICQ: 272 198 634 ::Comment

How many blogs were in your first blog network? And how many do you plan on building four your second blog network? I realize this is what you gotta do nowadays to make any money in this biz.. but it is so sad. And yes, I've thought about doing the same thing. But it's sad sad sad. I say this in every blog topic and 99% of the time people ignore it. Everyone has this preconception in Adult that blogs should only get SE traffic and bookmarkers.
I say to that, go blow a goat..
Add a free trade script to each of the blogs and sey up "clicked" toplists on the blogs so you can trade traffic with other sites via toplists. Just replace the dumb 500 hardlinks that are always plastered on 99% of the blogs out there, with actual links that will send you back real traffic.
Don't add tons of hardlink trades, because most of them do nothing but add traffic leaks for sales to fall through. Set up "real" toplists and let the backlinks build up organically or trade for them on other sites.
Also build your self a old school toplist to filter traffic into your network if you have to build more than one if you are dealing in several niches.
Search Engine traffic is not the only traffic that can make sales and while you are twitting your thumbs waiting for it, you could be building up clicked traded traffic and making sales. Depending on only SE traffic is dumb IMHO because it's something you have no control over.Last edited by crockett; 08-06-2008, 07:33 PM.In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.Comment

So you're the guy I see in my email just about every day. I'm surprised the blog does so well converting. Must be that niche. Thanks for the traffic! Im affraid I'm going to have to call Mr Shenanigans.
12k uniques ? From google ? To that shit ?
No way.
You don't show up anywhere for any search terms, and 400 hits a day requires something better than top 5 listing on 20 queries with " about 70 results".
The 1 sale figure seems more believable, mostly because everything may happen once. 2 sales ? Naaa.Comment
