What's the best Air Purifier to buy?

Anyone know of a good air filter that you can buy which doesn't require a filter to be changed, etc?

I have an Ionic Breeze which I thought was good, but the more I read about it the more it's shit.

    Anyone?

    Thanks

If it doesn't require a filter, it's bullshit.

You can piss on about ions all goddamn day, but that's not going to do anything about the thick coat of dust.

I got one of these not long ago... http://www.amazon.com/Honeywell-HHT-...6063160&sr=8-9

Seems pretty good, although the fan is a little loud. You have to run it at 50% or less.

Something HEPA certified (of course), and with a slow moving, or quiet fan - as applicable. There are several perm-seal HEPA certified, but that doesn't mean that they work the same as a 'dip in water and rinse' system. I haven't bothered looking; I just deal with my allergies. I call mine "$14 box fan."

after extensive research I believe this is the best site I found, too bad 90% of the purifiers listed on it I couldn't find anywhere in Europe, but if you're in the States then you're lucky:
            http://www.allergybuyersclub.com/compare-air.html

I ended up buying one for ~ $500.00 since I have hay fever/alergy but actually that didn't help me much, going to the doctor did ;)

It's quite simple - if you live 24/7 indoors then air purifier is great, otherwise it's not much of a help.

So if it's alergy you want to buy it for then don't, see a specialist, the pills they sell now are much better than the ones they were selling even a few eyars ago

I use a carbon filter with a fan. That should keep the the smell down.

The ionic breeze killed one of my first crops so get rid of that thing

Avoid any of those ozone machines. They aren't good for you.

The purifiers that use UV light to kill airborne bacteria and viruses are the best.

The filters blow out a smell every 2.6 minutes that smell like pussyfarts, however, it distroys any good quality air most efficiently.
