If you ever buy property in Sarasota FL make sure you own a gun

This was taken in the kitchen this afternoon while preping the house for a showing

I have all kinds of pictures of spiders out here, the other house around the corner that we cant seem to sell for shit has black widow spiders walking around like people.... this may have something to do with it being on the market for two years

You have to hire pro's yadda yadda but we had orkin out twice and the first time it seemed to help

but since we are not living in the house we are just going to wait until we have a solid sale locked in and bomb the place anyway plus warn the new owners

I'm in Florida too on the other side of you, got those big fuck spiders too but we also have a fuckload of big ass black scorpions. thes fuckers are like 6 inches long. I guess it depends on the weather but on a good week we'll find 2 of the fuckers inside the house. It's a pain in the ass at night when you get up to take a piss. So far been lucky and haven't stepped on one. Needless to say a vacuum works great. oh, btw before I get the bash posts about the slum I live in, it's a 4,000 sf house on the water we just renovated after the hurricanes in 04, not a shack.

A friend had this old beat up car we used to go to the beach in. Didn't have to worry about getting the seats wet or sand on the floor board. Anyways, one day we were riding in it, he was driving his girlfriend was in the passenger seat and I was in the back seat.

I look up and there is a spider just like the one in this thread same size and everything and it's on the headliner next to the dome light right above us. Nowhere to run nowhere to hide. They don't see it yet. I'm trying to remain calm but imagine what would happen if that thing drops down on my friends neck or something. I tell him to pull over NOW and he's like what? I didn't want them to look up because she would have jumped out of the car. I tell nim to pull over again and this time he does. We bail and then I point out the problem. Of course she freaks. I went and got a broom from a nearby store and chased the monster out of the car and then it was on to the beach

oh shit yeah there are black widows in Florida. I went to adjust the pool timer one day and when I opened the box a damned black widow was is there. This place is a breeding ground for all types of nuisances. One morning there was a coral snake in the back yard, managed to kill it with a shovel but those things are bad, the only company that made the antivenin stopped making it and the existing supplies are really hard to find.

Come to think of it, I'm starting to hate this place, If any of you want to live in paradise, I will sell for 1.2 mil, and it's appraised for 1.5

The first time mywife told me she saw one I didnt believe her

then one night I jeard something yelp then yelp then screech then stop

I walked out back and sure enough a huge snake was eating a wild rabbit right on our deck I freaked the fuck out I wnet inside and grabbed a bottle of rubbing alchohol as it was the only thing I find thinking if i throw it in the snakes eyes he would go away but nope that fucker sat there and ate the rabbit

we watched the whole thing for about 2 hours then went to sleep

I also know a guy who lives south of me in fort myers who had a huge gator die in his pool

he came out and there it was belly up a 6-7 foot gator dead in his pool. He had left the door open for his dog that likes to run ito the woods out back

The gators are the only problem we don't have thank god, we have a 30 foot bank and it's salt water, but there is an estuary behind us that's brackish but I fenced in the acre behind us so it would be rare to have a gator get in. I also put flood lights in the back yard for when I let the dogs out at night.
