Why do these flash banners have mouse-over audio?

I am only going to hate you more every time I accidently activate them and freak me or my environment out...

Ugh... they make me feel like I stepped on an audio land mine. Good way to make me want to stay far away, so I won't have to go collect my skin after I've jumped out of it. Same reason I hate jump scares in horror movies - I don't like feeling like someone just punched me in the gut.

I have always hated those. Since I use my PC as my stereo some crazy loud banner always interrupts my damn music.

The flashing ones suck ass even more than the audio ones. I have no clue who's banner it is but I refresh GFY as soon as it pops up. I have no clue why these stupid programs think it's good business to annoy webmasters.

Then again this forum is pretty much nothing more than a banner farm anymore...

I like the scary outtamyskin movies... that's what I go there for.

When I sit back for some zen-board-posting chill, I do NOT want some banner freaking me the fuck out; I will write that program's name on a piece of willow bark and burn it in a hellfire.... argh.

What annoys me is that it seems like all the loud annoying banners have all been loaded into that space just below the "quick post" box, so when you're done typing your post you invariably always scroll over it to get to the post button.

It's like a hellish little sound trap.
