    Fake order "referral spam" in Google Analytics

    I just noticed today that one of my clients had fake orders (in GA) last week from some spam referrer. Fucking great. Fucking up stats seems to have reached totally new heights. I am not exactly sure what script version they are running as it is integrated with one platform, but I am going to change the code bypassing that platform, in case of the problem is possible due outdated tracking script.

    Have any of you guys noticed similar, besides regular referral spam?

      I had something like this just since a few days.. I thought the days of referrer spam is over..

      I got lots of proxy to http://www.mydomain.tld/spammeddomain.tld without referrer..

              The basic idea is to get webmaster's attention and to visit/google/etc. the referring site.

              Basically if I want to advertise my SEO services with referral spam, I produce fake visits from great-seo-site.com or something like that.
