Sure, he's it's *gangster* rap, but it's obviously rap.
Do you know how boring it is to listen to rappers talk about how hard they used to be when they were in the hood, and how controversial they are now. Nelly is a refreshing change from the rest of the rap that's around, which to be honest, is stagnant, and boring as all fuck.

Saying that, i still listen to a lot of other rap. But only in moderation. Too much of it is mind numbingly boring.
