    Democrat Lead Congress Lowest Approval Rating In History 9%

    Ok so we have tried a Rep lead congress, we did not like it. Now we hate the dem lead congress. When will people realize that what they want is what the founding fathers had in mind? Small government.

      I'm really surprised more politicians don't get murdered in your country.

      The only people murdering them are OTHER POLITICIANS.. Where's all the pissed off people just mad at them, running them over with their pickup truck?

      Considering how many guns you folks have, I'd think more people would point them in the right direction!

          well they have created a political culture of blame the other guy. Dont blame the failing dollar for high gas blame third world countries that give subsidies. Dont blame failed foreign policies for getting people pissed that you are bombing their country and countries next to yours, blame "extreme Islam" and so on. Or dont blame yourself that you are fat and dying blame McDonald's. sigh

          So these sheep still think they need to vote for the same parties over and over and over and over and over again as everything goes down the shitter.

              It is about a group of libertarian minded people that are raising money and getting lobbyist to put pressure on congress and punish them for not doing what they promised. They promised they would end the Bush warrentless wiretaps and many other 'big brother' type things he put in place and they have done none of it. It looks like this group is going to start making that information known and take them to task for it. I hope they do some good.

                  The democrats haven't had enough of a majority a la the 90's to counter balance the president ENOUGH. People are pissed with bush and they are apparently more pissed off that the democrats can't do anything to stop him and the repubs policies. If the dems won more of a majority in 06 instead of a simple majority things would be way different.

                      Is Nancy Pelosi even doing anything? I remember before, she was supposed to be this fierce, tough Democrat and now that she's got the job it's like she really does nothing. Maybe she's watching TV, and buying shoes.

                          Please find me one poll in the history of modern polling that shows "congress" with an approval rating at or above 50%.

                          Congressional approval is absolutely meaningless in terms of being a predictor of future elections, as opposed to presidential approval which is a very accurate predictor of whether or not a president will get re-elected.

                          The opposition party always tries to use this number to make themselves feel better, but it's a pretty meaningless indicator.

                                  Congressional approval ratings are now a farce.

                                  Republicans being polled are voting negative only because Democrats have the majority and they want them to look bad.

                                  Democrats are voting negative because there are still too many Republican seats for their liking.
