Living in Los Angeles, I've seen tons of ads for "vaginal rejuvenation" and whatnot. I haven't given it any thought myself, as I'm pretty satisfied with that region, but I think it's cool that women have that option if they want it. I like body modification - piercings, tattoos, and the like. I think it's weird that so many people into the modern primitive movement look down on plastic surgery - to me, it's all the same shit... altering yourself. For some, it's about working towards perfection; for others, it's about artistic expression.

As an American, I'm pretty used to the idea of genital surgery for aesthetics/convenience (circumcision), so a little snip snip to the labia isn't so strange to me.

Shannon Tweed just had hers done - it was on Gene Simmons' show. My Dad dated a woman who had hers done back in the early 80's so it certainly isn't anything new - just probably not something a lot of men would be consulted about and not something many women want to admit to ;)

Hey, was surfing around I found your site..

My wife and I have had a few kids, and well, frankly, her vagina is like.. sloppy.. Not trying to be mean, but it's just not what it used to be. I'm curious, if she did something like this, what's involved? And what can I expect? Will it be a tight fit like before? She's 38 now.. How many years can we "go back" in that sense? suspect, however, that your mother did not put Socks on your birth
certificate and assume that your surname on said certificate was not and
is not "Manly". That aside, let's talk.

Most women are never exactly the same after birthing babies, but do
rebound enough that the architectural changes are minimal or
unnoticeable to herself and her sexual partner. Other women are less
fortunate, with persistent, permanent and bothersome vaginal laxity.
There are two options, not necessarily mutually exclusive, these being
pelvic fitness training and surgical reconstruction. I never recommend
surgical correction of such laxity unless it is bothersome to the woman
herself.

Assuming surgical correction with a perineoplasty is in order here
(http://www.urogynics.org/pages/pops/seif/VLaxity.html), the healing
takes about one month (all wound healing takes about one month) and with
genital surgery, the "time to intercourse" is typically 6-8 weeks from
the date of surgery.

Some women really don't need perineoplasty, and are able to restore
vaginal snugness by increasing the pelvic muscle bulk with a Kegel
exercise fitness program. This can take anywhere from 4-12 weeks,
depending on the condition of these muscles at the beginning of the
program.

Given your final query, I assume this is not an open discussion between
the two of you and you have kept your concerns to yourself. Therefore,
I suggest you "break" it to her very, very carefully.

There was a woman on my hysterectomy board who claimed to do Kegel's 15K times A DAY!!! OMG. I don't know that I'd have time to do anything else. I guess she's doing them while driving, eating, working, reading, sleeping...........

Men don't realize what childbirth can do to women. My SIL just had to have a bladder tack because after two kids, every time she laughed or sneezed, pee came out And she's only 42.
