        in the past it was easer and cheaper to use avs as it meant no real cost to you (as in hosting).

        with hosting as cheap as it is now, its better to do it all yourself.

                            AVS is most certainly alive. A few of you might know me as being the owner of a few AVS programs over the pasgt 12 years (AdultSights, SexKey, ManSites) But whatever people may call it these days; AVS, AEN, etc., the reality is that it is still here and still very, very much alive and kicking... It is unfortunate that things have seem to come to and end like this with PA. I have personally never had any dealings with PA over the years, but I know they were a very serious competitor of ours for a long time. With that being said and me being ever the opportunist...                             Being what you would call an old timer, I have seen many, many companies come and go. The ones that hurt the most are the ones that you have years and years of rebills tied up in revshare with. I know everyone has been affected by some of those, myself included. The Voyeurweb crew states that they are no longer affiliated with ProAdult and in fact ProAdult is under completely new management. Now between what Igor says is the truth and reality are two different things. The front page of ProAdult has a link to Voyeurweb. Processing from Homeclips, Redclouds, and all the other business ventures that is under Voyeurweb's control go through the ProAdult domain. Sites on ProAdult servers are being redirected to Voyeurweb. You tell me you have completely distanced yourself from ProAdult and I will tell you that's bullshit and it's obvious. What makes things worse, other than not getting paid, is this direct insult to our intelligence.

                                                                                        I havent gotten any solid responses from them in the past 3 months on this issue. I know that they have a problem with their merchant account having a red flag but as far as the payouts were concerned, I had no control over any of that. I told them numerous times, "wht am I supposed to tell these webmasters? they are staying loyal for the time being because you are telling me they will get paid and im relaying this information to them so Im starting to look like Im lying to them." All their response was that I need to tell everyone that Im "just and employee" and Im relaying info from them to the public. Quite a few webmasters here have been going through this with me over the last few months and I've met a few of them in person and spoke to many others through the phone and emails. This situations till baffles me and the only conclusion I can come up with is that they saw their program sinking and decided to keep anything that they currently have being generated until all the rebills die out. There is no other reasonable explanation that I can come up with.

                                                                                                I still got checks from Pro-adult, noticed the company names on the checks changing with more and more frequency so I guess I kinda saw this coming, but sounds like the guys that own Pro-Adult (the guys that run VW) decided to give everyone a big FUCK YOU old school AVS going out of biz style ala AC... assholes... I want my 1 rebill I have left a month payout!!

                                                                                                                            Igor - We were informed November 2007 by Visa and Mastercard that they want the 2257 info for every website hosted at the PA central office. Of course that is not a feasible thing...and our legal dept jumped on it. So far without any luck. Around 8 weeks ago the entire PA operation was given away to a 3rd party. How do they run their merchant accounts? No idea! We negotiated a grace period: If we are able to re-instate merchant accounts for PA operations will be returned to the company who used to run PA. So far no luck. In other words: PA already separated regarding ownership but is still logically tied to VW and RC (through GWS and RRC). The logical link might be removed very soon. It all depends on how the 3rd party decides on their future plans with PA and on any cooperation with us or not.

                                                                                                                            This is all I know about this whole thing. Due to my ongoing rehab I am not in a condition to deal with this situation myself...sorry. Whenever I hear news about this subject I will post it right here.

Also they started redirecting all the sites subdirectories that had left the system to the voyeurweb.Which new owner in their rightful mind would do something to send their traffic to the old owners. It just doesnt make sense.

The employees were probably just people who failed at being webmasters anyways.

                                                                                                                                                                                    I read plenty, but am in no way shocked that an AVS company fucked over webmasters, vendors, employees, the bank where they had their merchant account, their wives and girlfriends, stole candy from babies or flip-flopped on campaign promises.

                                                                                                                                                                                    I've been around long enough to know that AVS just isn't worth it. Hell, even adult check told most of their webmasters to get fucked....and that was the one name in this biz that I thought would outlast all the others.

I made a living with big fat checks. Since then I have moved on but I still get sign-ups and recurs on my network of sites.
