The comfortably cool July we are having the the Great Lakes region is because of global warming. All the rain we are having is because of the western drought -- the rain moved here I guess for the last few years.
Only bad part is the lawn keeps growing and has to be maintained ...

Summer is very late this year. We have had 3-4 good days in a row followed by 2 days of storms and colder temps. Normally by this time of year its consistently 30C with peaks of 35-37 on the hotter days. Temps are still dropping big time at night down into the 14-19 range.
This is the second year in a row summer has been shitty, I really hope it changes soon. This week has shown promise, it's been great and the weekend is going to be 33C, hopefully this is the start.

I think Winnipeg got a lot of your rain this summer. It rained quite regularly here through June and the first part of July. Then a few weeks ago it got hot. Like Africa hot.
I finally broke down and turned on the A/C yesterday. Then it clouded over and today it's cool and breezy. But they're calling for more sun and 30C days coming up.
