Religion, on the other hand, has a hard fast set of rules. You must do this, you must do that, and tends to cause islands of culture, which is in my mind disruptive to the existing culture. This causes tension.
Agreed. The thing is tho it tends to be the older generation that stick by their beliefs. The kids and their kids tend to relax it a little don't you think? Thats what I've noticed anyway.

Recial profiling? A small percentage of the population making up a majority of the crime is not racial profiling. Neither is reporting on it.

Racial profiling is when a person is targeted by law enforcment based only on their race.

Yeah that tends to be true too, you're right about that. Each generation is a little more "modern" for lack of a better word. Children intermix more easily.

I live in San Francisco & grew up 20 minutes down the penisula in "Silicon Valley". California has like the 3rd largest economy in the world (bigger than most countries). The 2 main economic centers are L.A. (entertainment industry) & SF Bay Area (Silicon Valley).

Both areas are some of the most culturely diverse areas in the world. You have every race, religion and sexual prefferance all getting along and driving our economy. With tollerance comes better econimic prosperity.

When I was 12 one of my best friends was Muslim. He was one of the most peacefull guys I've ever met and so was his family. In fact I considered his Grandma like my own grandma. Maybe if they lived in a different part of the world or even a different part of the US they may have been different. But the fact the Bay Area is so open minded it leads to more equality and less hate for everyone. We simply all try and get along (for the most part).

All the worlds problems come down prosperity & ignorance. If you're uneducated (ignorant) & don't have economic prosperity (economic opportunities) then it'll cause problems.

People all over the world (including the rest of the US) should take notice of California. While we're not perfect by any stretch, we do have a lot of things going right.

What does this have to do with the "Islamification of Europe"? Well Europe is becoming more Americanized every day. Hopefully it'll become more like California (open minded and culturely diverse) which will lead to increased prosperity for all.

                          Just my
