Yea, I think the drunk Russian sailors shooting at each other with live torpedoes sounds more reliable than the U.S. doing it. After all weren't they supposedly doing just that as they were running practice drills with real torpedoes wernt they? Shit they probably shot themselves...
Or it could be that as typical, bad command decisions and shitty up keep of their equipment were to blame, which seems to be very common in the Russian military. I mean really since WW2 Russians have lost 8 nuclear subs.. They obviously are not very good with what ever it is they are doing..
