e-Real Estate - The Value of Your Web Property

    e-Real Estate Part 1
The Value of Your Web Property

Everyone seems to have one these days, but just how much is that website of yours really worth?

As the old saying goes ? ?it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it? ? while this remains true to this day, there?s still a general rule of thumb that people in this industry seem to follow, especially when it comes down to evaluating the worth of established adult sites and blogs.

So, what?s your website really worth, and how does one arrive at such a valuation?

It's funny that when I sell a site (not often) that it's generally 6-12 month earnings offers and everyone wants every statistic.

Yet I've sold $8 .com domains with no sites for the last 13 years with no earnings to show for 1-10k based strictly on potential and nobody ever asks for domain traffic stats.

You?ve done your homework and you now know what your site may be potentially worth.

Though sometimes, actually holding on to your site rather than selling, can prove to be twice as lucrative in the long run.

hehe, nice! Yep, you bring up a valid point. There will always be exceptions.

Although very true.... selling an established site these days... once you say it's established... it's kind of like the burden of proof is on you. It can be daunting.
