Yeah I see. Generally I'm used to GFY discussions on Tumblr or any other social platform to be about using it for monetization only.

Yep.
I also like Tumblr and could get into it but don't like the fact that others can control my content on a whim, or that I create it for them. But I also use it sparingly form time to time.
