It's called Zanu-EU. You know the same Zanu-EU that told Ireland to 'fix' the situation with the Lisbon treaty. It is HIGHLY unlikely that any change will come from within politics itself, the people now making the decisions in Zanu-EU are so far disconnected from the people want, and care so little, that nothing will happen. Once nations like France starting hitting the 25% Muslim population mark (which isn't too far off) I think you're more likely to see this whole thing cracking. It will take some major violence, riots, etc to get politicians to do anything. I'm not advocating it, but it will happen. Look what has happened in France, etc. I mean look what happened after Theo van Gogh was killed, how long did retaliations (burning Churches, than burning Mosques, etc) last? Weeks. What I'm saying is that it seems white people complain - to each other. But they don't do anything about it! People whine about this and that, but they didn't show up to the city meetings, or anything else like it.. Plus their argument is what - to keep enforcing Christianity on Muslim people?
And I don't see the muslims asking us to say their prayers, or teach about Allah or the Qu'ran in our schools, or anything of that nature. They also don't complain about nationhood things like the flag, or about our laws, I mean it's really not as bad as people think.
Biggest issue here in years I can think of was when a Sikh police officer was conflicted over his turban and a police hat. White people were "outraged" as they say, because it's the uniform, and why should these people get an exception!!! lol.. Like they *REALLY* truly care about what a police officer wears or something.. Anyways now they just make them wear black turbans, with a police badge on the front.
It all comes down to free speech, and if the people in charge decide they have valid concerns, then that's their decision to make.
Plus I'm happy that these cultural groups fight for things that are important to them. That's how they really become part of our country and system. You are naive though to the nature of Islam though. Listen I've been through the Middle-East, I've stayed in Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, etc etc, and I've met many nice Muslims, most of whom are quite moderate, not religious even (beyond observing the basic principals) and very friendly and nice people. In Australia I have quite a number of very good Muslim friends, some believers even, who I agree are no real threat. But than again that is due to the size of the Muslim population in Australia being so small. Europe is and will be a different story if the trends continue. If you seriously think you can have a population shift to Muslim majorities in European countries (which will happen, look on any Muslim forum - shiachat, aussiemuslims, etc) and you will see them celebrating the statistics which form that conclusion, without any major change you are simply retarded.
The nature of Islam that unlike Christianity is it isn't open to interpretation or any real change. Islam is a much more understandable and sensible religion than Christianity (at least in the sense it is a well written story). The people who believe it, truly believe it, and whilst there have been attempts to popularize a Western styled Islam it has failed because quite simply certain passages in the Koran are incompatible with Western society (let them tell you what they want to your face, but than ask the punishment for converting outside of religion and they will all admit that a person in an 'Islamic society' should be punished, and most scholars agree that the punishment is death), and Muslim believers quite simply won't go against passages that they believe are the direct word of God. In a sense all Muslim believers are fundamentalists, they have to be, or else they aren't believers at all.
I don't doubt a lot of this shit is sensationalized, such as the turban police office, or even this puppy. I think if you went to the Muslim community the majority of them really couldn't give a fuck, but as you say yourself it is the ones who participate that force the change and Islamic societies or communities that has usually, well almost always has been the religious ones. Let me tell you something about muslims, I have been living in Indonesia for the past 2 years ok. Muslims in general are nice people but most of them are not clean. Allot of them live in slum areas here in Jakarta. they piss everywhere just like fuckin dogs do, they don't use toilet paper to whipe their asses. They fuckin spit everywhere. They fuckin throw their garbage everywhere. I walk beside a river & its fuckin black, stinky full of garbage. They just dont have any respect for the environment at all. They eat with their fuckin bare hands.

I am pretty much sure this "respect for environment" have nothing to do with religion, it depends on many factors .. literacy rate, awareness, law enforcement, how rich a country is, etc.

I'm not insensitive. I know that in history, dogs would eat the dead. Certainly a bad omen. As a kid, I knew a lot of mormon children terrified of dogs (seriously, it was interesting to watch an 8 year old boy completely frightened out of his wits by a friendly 10 inch tall elderly mop dog).
But, there comes a time as an adult, where you've got to measure up and get over it.

I have no problem with muslims but I have a problem when muslims come into our country and tell our goverment how to run our country because of thier relgion and I would be exactly the same be it somebody from Poland or the USA or anybody else. If anbody goes to any country and becomes a citizen and ends up having a family they should abide by that countrys laws, traditions and relgions. I would not dream of going to settle in a foreign country and say things like "It is against my relgion to show your ass" so please stop it. it seems to me that 'British' traditions go back considerably further than a mere 2 or 3 generations. I don't understand why it seems difficult for some people to realize that a country's inhabitants would seek to preserve their cultural identity, especially when it's been developed over 1000's of years and is enshrined in everything from their architecture to their folklore to their traditional government and nearly every other aspect of their life.
whether another group comes marching in with weaponry first and then seeks to change things or slips in via lax immigration laws and then seeks to change things, their goal is the same - to forever alter the way of life of the existing inhabitants. if the inhabitants value their way of life then they'll take steps to deter events such as that from happening.

Laws are made for the times, and also must change as society progresses. Why should they not have the same rights to complain and change the laws as they see fit? You have the same rights!! Are there no laws you disagree with? Do you just blindly follow them, even when you disagree with them?
Never forget what a small window of time you live in. The world and land we call "ours" is just a facade. We are here for a small time, and then we pass on. Billions of people before us called this land "theirs" and now it's "ours" for a small time. Dust to dust right? It's completely silly to think you have more say because of seniority or something. If someone is complaining and wanting to change things in a way you disagree with, then by all means - attend your city council meetings, write letters to politicians, get interviewed in the local newspaper. - no fun, right?
