I would have thought the northern states would have been higher and southern states lower. Hard to be active here when everyone's balls are frozen 4 months of the year. I try and add weight in the fall so I don't feel as cold in the coming months.Have Chargebacks? Send me a message.

I was thinking something like that as well. Plus you do not want to eat that much in Souther heat, more water drinking instead of eating etc. Plus you work land (redneck name is from working the land) etc.
So pretty interesting.Comment

Red or blue states... black or white people... the common ground here with obesity is poverty and lack of education.Comment

Weird how statistics differ isn't it?
For years I've been reading how native Hawaiian's are one of the most obese people in the world due to "modern" foods that their bodies aren't used to.
Here's one from 2013: http://health.hawaii.gov/news/files/...-as-in-Fat.pdf
And now Hawaii is the LEAST obese?
No wonder people argue over everything. We are constantly told different "facts" by people who take the same exact stats and twist them to show opposing things.
From "climate change" to fat-ass fucks...it seems like one reading of stats says one thing and the same stats lead somebody else to the exact opposite conclusion.
Drinking coffee will kill you. A few year later...it turns out that drinking coffee is good for you.
Drinking alcohol = "BAD". Few years later...a few drinks are healthy for you.
Eating eggs? It will KILL you! Few years later...it's the perfect food and very healthy for you.
And I'm sure that all of those will flip around back and forth as "science" changes it's mind. lol-Robbie

Hawaiians/Samoans are on the large size, it's the 50% plus Oriental population that are lean.

That's what I had read (minus the Orientals). Saw a few articles over the last few years with people wringing their hands over how the natives there had been "Forced" into obesity because of McDonald's and KFC and other fast food restaurants in Hawaii.
If only they could have been left alone by modern man and allowed to live in Tiki huts and eat only fish, coconuts, and pineapples. lol
Anyway, it struck me as strange that I've read over and over for years how obese Hawaii is and now it's the LEAST obese.
And the article I linked to said that 50% of the entire population there are obese.
And that makes them the LEAST obese state?
Doesn't sound good for the rest of us does it? lol-Robbie

well - here's something where the US is not number 1 in the world, you are beaten by Tonga and Micronesia
The world's fattest countries: how do you compare? - Telegraph
and you're beating Canada by 25 lbsComment
-
intredasting...And while the US makes up only five per cent of the world's population, it accounts for almost a third of the world?s weight due to obesity.
In comparison, Asia has 61 per cent of the world?s people but only 13 per cent of the world?s weight.Comment

Wow, I'm the exact average weight of all adults in the U.S. at 180 and that includes all women and men

Not sure what are you bugging about, it is just a random interesting link I posted. You do not have to do anything with it.
Go ask Business Insider that question...Comment

Weight doesn't necessarily mean much.
A guy could be 300 pounds of rock hard lean muscle and his weight would define him as being overweight or obese even if he didn't have hardly any body fat at all.
Muscle weighs more than fat.
Opposite of that...you could have a guy weighing 150 pounds and he could have a big fat belly and be completely out of shape and unhealthy.
Plus the "average" weight is averaging in all the truly obese people into the equation which kinda makes the numbers look weird.
I wonder what the average weight of "normal" people would be (minus people who are truly freakishly obese)-Robbie

Dude, 'Oriental' is not the preferred nomenclature. Asian-American, please. That's what I had read (minus the Orientals). I was surprised to see you were the thread starter. I expect crucifisso or the like for such threads.
I don't find anything interesting in pigeonholing people this way .Comment

The warm state myth exposed!
The southern states are so hot in the summer that very few people go outside to get exercise.
The beach or lake might be crowded but inland people hide inside.Comment

Eating rise will not make you fatComment

Yeah... I understand all that Robbie... but you and I both know that the vast majority of people in this country that are technically overweight, are not due to muscle mass.Weight doesn't necessarily mean much.

What would be MUCH more telling would be the average body fat % of a typical American adult. My guess is the average adult in the U.S. has 30% or damn close to it.Comment

In FL at least in central fl most dudes are not overweight. Well at least not fat asses. However the woman.. it's like soon as they hit 25 it's all over.. they are almost always overweight.
I bet if they took that study further, it would show a major difference in whom is the fattest when it comes to men and women. In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.Comment

This is it for the most part. It's too fucking hot to be very active outside. I bike 10 miles everyday, but it's not until after 7pm.In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.Comment

Hey MaDalton... BMI is useless. It doesn't take body fat % into account and it manipulates the variables.Comment

these polls mean nothing until they revise bmi scales to not call people who have muscle mass obese. ie both Lebron James and Michael Phelps are considered obese on that scale. oh, nobody is 300 lbs of lean mass ;)
ahh so only uneducated and 'dumb' people are obese and gym rats are all geniuses.. got it... oh and according to bmi? you're obese too...webmaster at pimproll dot comComment

I bet if it was based on bf% Michigan would be in the top 3 at least. Everything you order seems to come on platters rather than plates, which is awesome, but can't be doing that shit often no doubt heh
