Yes, very dirty. I don't like stinky seaweed on the sand. I didn't want to say that your beaches are always dirty or something like that. That's depends on season, winds etc. But at your picture it's real dirty to me.
Here are the pictures I've made @ Miami Beach (the same East Cost) just a couple years ago in about the same time (the Memorial Day):
As you can see, the beach and water are very clear. So once again. I don't want to say your beaches are bad or something like that. I just want to say somebody has to clean them sometimes. You won't see any seaweed garbage at private (I mean the hotel privacy) beaches in Seychelles or even Egypt or Turkey. Those scrubs the sand with rakes at least 2x time a day. I live in the carribean and yes they do rake seaweed from beaches at the nicer hotels. But seaweed doesnt necassarily mean the beach is dirty. It is just natural.
Some parts have a higher concentration where alot of boats mix.
But I prefer going out on "abondonded" beaches where you find seaweed on the shore over tourist spots anyday. Seaweed does not mean its dirty. Again it is natural.Comment
